Review:I suppose you can have hard drive problems with any computer but Dell won't even offer advice via email. Can't get information on how to correct the problem without paying for help on the telephone. As a hearing impaired person, this is impossible. I am replacing the hard drive (not from Dell) and am using local computer service. I have made my last Dell purchase.

Touchscreen
Product Uses:personal and home business
Review:We got this computer a few months back. This is actually our second one - the first one had major problems and wouldn't even come up to the desktop. But this one has been a great computer. It does everything we need and want. Plus I like the touchscreen feature. I would recommend this computer for your home or home business. The only thing I would suggest is that you get some external speakers to use with it for better sound quality cuz the built in speakers do not have good quality sound.

Review:Having looked around for a good price touch screen pc I settled on the Inspiron One 19 due to Dells reputation, the keen price and the option of multi touch.
We have 2 of them as part of the interactive registration system and they work!

Great price, Great Computer
Product Uses:personal use
Review:I bought this computer a year ago and I couldn't be more impressed. Perfect performance for the perfect price. The only downfall to this is the built in speakers. They aren't very loud and are comparable to laptop sound and quality. So if you appreciate good sound get some speakers.

Awesome Desktop Computer
Product Uses:software developement, multimedia
Review:Pros
I almost bought an Inspiron when I found the Studio Slim. I love the versatility it has and of course the speed, reliability, and the cool sleek black design. I live in the middle of nowhere with satelite internet and it works better than any other computer I have put on this connection. I have a 60" wide screen this is connected to with HDMI and talk about awesome!! No, I dont do any online gaming. I would have nothing but a Dell, period.
Cons
I only regret that i did not upgrade to a larger hard drive like 1TB and get the Bluetooth package when I bought this system. I have heard alot of horror stories about Vista. When I bought this computer I didt want to pay xtra for XP. So I thought I would try Vista Home Premium. I love it!! For me XP is the thing of the past now.
Review Looking for an awesome computer with great value? Here it is, you will not be disapointed.

An unreliable package
Product Uses:editing writing, internet research, emails
Review:Since starting to use this machine in mid-June I have had nothing but trouble with crashes, slow responses and numerous other glitches. It has undergone a complete uninstall/reinstall by Dell technicians but still there are underlying problems to which Dell no longer responds. It is underpowered and I have to suffer daily "not responding" messages. I am not using it for anything extreme (no gaming, no video downloads, no music) and yet it remains unreliable and a daily hazafrd for anyone tryiong to run a business.

Good for what it is
Product Uses:web browsing & email, video playback and light editing, itunes and other audio, office applications
Review:I went for the Dual Core 2.6GHz / 4GB / 500GB model and am really happy with it for eleven hundred bucks from DSE.
I have built and supported stacks of PC's and decided to suck it up and pay for a bit of style and convenience for a family PC in our living room. The Inspiron One delivers what I need from it in ease of use, simplicity, DVD playback and usability across most ordinary apps. We are not gamers. This really wouldn't cut the mustard for anyone into serious gaming, but that is not what it is designed for.
I also bought it knowing that the vertical resolution of 768 pixels is pretty hopeless for all but the most lightweight document editing, but I have other PC's for that job.
My only gripe is that onboard speakers are without doubt the worst I have ever heard. But don't let that put you off as the Line Out audio output is excellent quality and plugged into my Acoustic Energy 2.1 (Aego) speakers the HD audio output sounds simply fabulous. A decent pair of offboard speakers like Creative T10's would be a 'must have' addition to the setup for anyone who has the sound turned on when they use their PC!
It has decent connectivity with built in card reader, 6 USB ports, Firewire mini and even serial and parallel ports for old school folks! No eSATA but that is not a major issue to me.

Product Uses:for development it is useless, i used by installing oracle. but it came crashing., for music it is ok
Review:I(we) used this product some 4 weeks back. I got this from US. This I thought will give me definitive performance. But its not so. It is very slow, below par configuration and most importantly its screen is very small. It tried to copy Apple but it falls flat in this.. When the prize is that much it should give the effect. I don't recommend this to any body. Rather Zino is fantastic.

Inspiron one 19
Product Uses:general domestic use
Review:This is a really nice replacement for a desktop. It's great looking and frees up space. The price premium over a desktop is small and definetly worth it. It really is like a cross between a laptop and a desktop. It is worth getting the better spec model with built in wireless, better processor, more memory and bigger disk. It works straight out of the box picking up the wireless network and needing no configuring.
