Reliable, good-to-excellent printing quality on our 513W printer. Some "clones" (at half to a quarter the price) do almost as well, at least for a while, but they often need to be "cleaned", which the Dell cartridge rarely requires.
High quality printing, especially compared to "clones" that are 1/4 to 1/2 the price. Produces fine picture on our 513W printer, but consumes a fair amount of ink - still, to conveniently print that 1 photo you forgot to have printed commercially, it's worth it.
Pros:printing documents & graphics., occasionally print a few pictures.

Worst quality since dot matrix

No, I do not recommend this product.
The ink is expensive and this printer seems to run through it quickly. The magenta color is over printing causing the colors to be distorted. I purchased this for my office via corporate procurement and I'm sure our discount made this a great value, however the time I have spend troubleshooting and cleaning makes this a poor value. I have used this printer for about six months and would recommend you look elsewhere for a printer. Running windows 7, I have to reboot about once every other day for the printer to be recognized via USB connection. Honestly the worst printer I have used in a decade.
Pros:scanning, color printing

I bought this printer to print pictures. But I can't get it to print in size 4x6. What can I do with the big pictures. So if you want it to print pictures don't buy it

I thought I bought A NICE printer .. scan.copy, print. I have nothing but trouble. first the ink that came with the printer didn't even do 50 pages.. the I bought two more sets of ink B & color.. both ran out very quickly & didn't print very many pages.. & I paid as much for those cartiages as I had for the printer itself..then .. the printer just stopped working .. it shows it working .. but my whenI say print from my computer nothing happens. I have tried everything. This is just used for my own home use.

I was outraged to discover my new Dell Inspiron 1564 was not compatible with my Dell 944 AIO Printer. However, the P513w printer is a huge improvement. I was surprised at how easy it was to set up with my wireless network and share with other computers. I thought this would be a huge hassle! I am also surprised at how well the scan to text feature works. You can scan a typed page, and it will be saved into an editable Word document. It actually works! Another amazing feature is the automatic double sided printing and copying mode. You can use half the paper and not have to deal with confusing paper flipping. I have only one concern: it seems to use ink very quickly. But, the images are stunning!
I have had this printer in use for less than one month and needed to replace the ink 3 times. That is about one change per week. The number of print jobs was less than 25. One star is generous.
