This is my second digital camera.I plan to travel to Europe this summer so I wanted a better camera than my 3 year old Canon. I played with this camera when it first arrived and I am so happy with it. It takes beautiful pictures and it's worth it for the price.
Cons
The only thing I don't like about this camera is the battery compartment. It is a struggle to open and close it.

Review:I've been a 35mm guy for ever. I have seen and used enough digital cameras to know that I wanted at least 10mp and at least 10X zoom. I really wanted an SLR but I'm not ready for that price point yet. This camera is exactly what I wanted and some. It has many features of an SLR yet is very affordalbe for one's first digital camera.
I got this camera just before Christmas and started experimenting immediately. The pics are razor sharp with brilliant color. I've used it mostly as a point and shoot but am really looking forward to pushing this camera to it's limits. I feel like I stole this camera for what I paid. Well done Fuji.
The picture was taken in Super Macro mode on a cloudy day. I had the lens about 1/2 inch away. The pics I took of the family at Crhistmas turned out great.

Review:Very pleased with this camera and fairly easy to use. I was afraid after reading a couple of reviews that it was complicated but it isn't. I can navigate through the options just fine. It offers good video w/sound and the pictures are wonderful. I am still learning and the only complaint I do have is the shutter speed. It is a little slow but I don't see that being a big issue for myself. The 12x zoom is also a very nice feature. I took pictures of my 3yr old sledding with his dad and the zoom captured his expressions beautifully!!

Review:I love this camera. The basics were easy to learn, especially if this is not your first digital. It may take some time to learn everything it does, but it has so many components that it compares favorably with higher cost cameras. I love the macro zoom. My pictures are so much better that with my old point and shoot. I shot this picture of my dog, Neighbor, from across the living room in plain daylight with the camera just out of the box. I could not believe the quality.

Review:I had my previous Kodak camera stolen from my car and needed a new camera that could do good macro shots. My previous camera was a 5mp camera and took some really good pictures. I was thinking about diving in to a DSLR, but did not know if I wanted to pay the price for a good one. (My wife said no,:( so that't that.) I read reviews and looked at the specs and it seemed a great camera for the price. I played around with the manual settings and got some great shots. The camera is very versatile and I have to say I like it a lot, especially for under $200. I uploaded a couple of pictures of my fish tank.

Review:This is overall a great camera. Has very great features, allows you the option of taking photos in automatic modes, as well as allowing you to manual set things like the ISO, white balance, etc. Overall, it's a great camera, and it takes very high quality shots.
Pros: Auto & Manual Modes, people with a lot of photo experience can get great shots.
Cons: If you don't know your way around a camera, this one might not be for you (unless you're willing to spend a lot of time with the manual). Also, does not play well with newer Macs. I tried it on my MacBook with Leopard, could not get it to work to get pics off of it. I also tried it with my iMac, which has Snow Leopard, and could not get it to work. I had to eventually return it, because it's not what I was hoping for. If I had a PC, this would be my camera for a good solid few years.

Review:The Fujifilm Finepix s1500fd is a great camera. It does take a while to figure out all of the settings. The forerunner of this camera had the flash that popped up automatically as opposed to this one that is manually operated. Compared to other brands that are $600+, this is a great camera for under $200. We are satisfied with camera and would recommend to others if you will take time to learn the settings.

Review:I bought this camera as an upgrade from my previous FujiFilm camera. I wanted higher pixels, larger zoom and more settings. I took it to the beach and shot over 500 pictures. It took me a little while to get used to the various settings, and which worked best in different situations. The camera takes great pictures, and I have been very pleased. The only thing that I didn't like and have to get used to is that the flash doesn't automatically pop-up; and you have to remember to release and set it if you want it to go off. Compared to others cameras in this category, it is a great value and the best price was offerred through Dell.

Review:The LCD screen is big enough and bright enough that I use it more than the view finder, which is a big change for me. Have not had a problem with battery life. Pics are great, but that is expected from this level of resolution. We take around 500 pictures a year. For this price, the camera is a fantastic value.
I still wish for faster auto focus and firing speed in a point and shoot camera. This one seems to be about the same as the camera we bought 3 years ago. You really must set your focus and hold it if your subject is moving at all, otherwise you will miss your shot. Next camera will probably be an SLR.
This is our third Fuji camera.

Review:The finepix 1500 is a great upgrade from the point and shoots. The 10 megapixels produce incredible details even when enlarged to 16x20. The 12 power zoom allows you to "reach out" much better when used outdoors for that just right picture of deer in a field. I also used it during a parade with excellent results. The flash was clean (not "yellowy" like others) in a variety of indoor settings.
It is taking a bit to get use to the different settings, but no doubt will master them all in time. The only issue I have is the view finder seems impractical at it size and the effort required to get your eye positioned right for effective and sustainable usage. Besides that...great camera.

The AA batteries have a long lasting life (much better than previous digital cameras). I would definitely recommend this camera to anyone and the sale price through Dell was too good not to accept. Review:Bought this one for my wife. Great camera and lowest price at Dell. Free two day shipping. The wife tried a comparable Nikon modal, great picture, but missed the manual and other controls. This camera's works great is a "Point & Shoot". The S1500sf comes with the Face Recognition feature, NICE to have. This camera does the work for you. The camera feels good in your hand too. Light but sturdy feel.
