Title: Good features
Date: January 15, 2010
Review:I have several problems with the 1st phone; the battery was bad (had to charge every 4 hours), the stick was stuck in the hole, so hard to pull it out and the ear phone was short and bad sounds. Dell sent me a replacement, it was little bit better; battery stays for 1-2 days, which is still bad because I have a Motorola stays 4-5 days. The ear phone was bad (short and sounds bad) How can you listen music with the short and bad sound, It's xpress music phone, sound should be good! I would love if Nokia can send me a new better battery and ear phones. The features of cell phone was great.

Review:This is my first experience with a touch screen phone. I found several apps to download at the OVI store. I chose the free ones and found some really cool ones. However, I must have downloaded something that caused my phone to crash because I had to do a hard reset within the first 2 weeks of having the phone. Since then I've quite downloading things and the phone is working fine. I've got all the apps I need including a gps, games, bible reader, and weather. The phone works great on the internet too!

Title: Each day, I get a great surprise with this phone!
Review:I have now had the phone about five months and I have to watch it carefully or it will disappear! I have had many people ask me about the phone, what kind it is, where I got it, what does a phone like that cost? etc.
The battery charges quickly, The touch screen has a good response, Bluetooth is easy to pair, and I like the dual sided camera. It takes makes great pictures and has many settings on the camera feature that rival some of the better digital cameras. The GPS feature works well and is accurate.
One of my favorite things to do with the phone is to watch TV shows on the phone. They are easy to download to the phone via the computer cable provided in the phone box. The picture is clear, bright & crisp and it is great that it has sound so two people can watch a TV show or movie without worrying about headsets, splitters, or carrying additional speakers. It has an easel type device that supports the phone and holds it at an easy to watch angle for viewing.
The internet feature is nice, I just discovered a couple of days ago the 5800 will connect with my home wireless internet and I can look at websites without worrying if I have "roamed" out of my home service area and being stuck with additional charges. While using the internet, the pages load quickly and look wonderful on the screen.
I think what I like the best is Nokia’s OVI store. Nokia has many applications for download and while there are some that you have to buy, the are many neat functions for FREE from the store. These are just a few I can think of right now.
I have a flashlight, strobe light, disco ball, a digital alarm clock, “rotary dial” that works, (it even vibrates when you dial each digit!), heart rate calculator, Magic 8 ball, “I parked here” (which helps find the car when you go to a huge shopping center and forget where you left the car) and an application that will get you the name of a song when the phone “hears” the music playing.
Other reviewers have mentioned not having an application like adobe, but I honestly do not feel this phone is a “business” phone. I think it is more of an “entertainment” phone. I did not think it would have a reader application so I was not disappointed when I found it did not. I do think a reader feature is downloadable for free at OVI now. These are just a few of the available applications for the phone. Thus far, I have not bought anything from the app. store but might eventually.
I am really happy with my “custom” phone. I have my phone housed in a form fitting, clear, plastic protective housing and it has been dropped a couple of times but it still looks and acts brand new. All in all, I have found it to be a sturdy phone that works very well and has not been a disappointment in the least. I have enjoyed this purchase so much and am glad I found the Nokia 5800 at just the right time and at a great price for what I received!

Title: Can't Ask For A Better Deal
Date: November 13, 2009
Product Uses: talking, listening to music, web surfing
Review:For the price that it cost unlocked, you can't ask for much more! The Nokia 5800 delivers useful as well as fun features for a very good price. There are many phones on the market that can't even match the 5800 and yet cost hundreds more. The 5800 is the definition of getting value for the money!

Title: Much Better
Date: November 5, 2009
Product Uses: Travel, work, life, keeping up with friends
Review:I received my Nokia 5800 xpress music phone after a bad encounter with the 5530 xpress Music phone.
I have all pro's to tell about this phone. It is sturdy, sleek in design, great sound. I have not had trouble with freezing as of yet. After you get the hang of the Apps and how to navigate through it, it is very easy to use. Bluetooth is amazing, I was able to transfer all my data from my other Nokia without problems and in moments. This made the transition so much more enjoyable. My Daughter is asking for one now that she sees mine. I would say comparable to the other touch phones as long as you don't need the PDA portion of the Blackberry, Palm,I-phone. I don't and that is why I love this one. And it is cheaper on the internet charges for your carrier too. PDA phone like the blackberry, BlackJack and Palm are usually $30for internet and with the smartphones they are usually less like $15.00. Many Pro. I love it.

Review:Great phone, except for the lack of document viewer. Everything else is perfect, good battery life, big screen, fast processor and the wifi is fast with internet browsing. Full webpage display is just awesome. Highly recommended if you dont need the word and pdf viewer. If you do need it you can buy it from quickoffice.com. I would give it 5 stars, but it took awhile for dell to deliver the phone.

Title: Good phone but needs more killer applications.
Date: September 11, 2009
Product Uses: Connecting with Friends, surfing web and checking e-mail, catching shows on youtube, downloading and listening to podcasts, & discovering new places with the integrated gps.
Review:The Good
Let me begin by saying this is a great multimedia phone. The call quality on this phone is great. Texting is breeze with four options of input (Full screen QWERTY keyboard, mini QWERTY keyboard, dialpad, and handwriting recognition). It supports corporate e-mail and has the option to keep separate profiles for home and work. Built in speakers are ample loud and offer crisp sound with options to tweak the sound to user's liking. Audio support is awesome along with integrated podcasting app. It has flash support so a site like YouTube will work fine. The touchscreen is easy to use and get used to with or without the stylus. It comes with facebook and myspace app along with some other goodies. OVI app store is available from the phone and some good apps are available. The wifi and GPS work very well. I bought it for a bit more, but the price offered now is an even better deal.
The Bad
I have three gripes with this device and all three are on the software or the firmware end. 1. This device lacks complete support for H.264 video codec. I tried some video podcasts and when playing only got audio but no video. However, one of them worked such as ABC World News. The phone is capable of playing the codec but not 100%. Hopefully this will be remedied with future firmware update and while they are it, they can add divx support too. 2. The phone hardware is great but needs more apps to make use of it. Hence, this is where iPhone outshines it the most and as such it is no iPhone killer but a fairly good alternative. 3. Lastly, the camera on this phone is just average. Pictures taken without flash fare well than with the flash as it tends to wash them out. It can be fixed by tweaking the settings but can use a firmware update to resolve some of the issues relating to the picture quality. The front facing camera on the other hand is fairly good and can be used as an alternate if needed for video calls, webcam (need an app for that), or otherwise.
Conclusion
Overall this is a great device and I love it. Right now it is a great buy for the advertised price, that will appease variety of people looking anywhere from multimedia capabilities, to Wifi, GPS, and corporate e-mail support with an easy to use touch screen and user friendly interface. Also, this is an unlocked phone so it will work with any carrier (on a plan, prepaid, and post paid) provided you have a SIM card for a carrier to use with it. It just needs more killer applications, wider variety of video codec support, and better camera support to unleash the full potential of this device's great hardware.

Title: A complete multitasking gadget
Date: September 10, 2009
Review:This is a very good phone if you are looking to own a multipurpose, multitasking phone which has many value added feature. The camera of this phone is about average and the battery life is very low for a nokia phone. Otherwise, it is a good bet for the one who needs good multimedia features, sharp display and thousands of free Symbian apps.

Title: Great, but not perfect
Date: September 10, 2009
Product Uses: everyday we find a new use.
Review:The 5800 XpressMusic is a great little phone, but it is not without its faults. It's very hard to find the right setting to log onto the Internet and we’re always getting 'Packet" errors. Hopefully someone at the phone store will be able to figure out what setting is wrong. The Nokia Ovi store is a total waste of time, basically because customer service is non-existent. The Ovi apps are fine, it is the Ovi online STORE that is the problem. Do a google on this BEFORE you buy anything on Ovi and you'll see plenty of people complaining about it.
Now for the really good stuff... Most of the product upgrades require a PC, but some are Mac updatable. The 5800 screen is clear and a joy to use. This 5800 also has the best sounding speakers of any phone on the planet. Battery life appears to be good and it has a glass Carl Zeiss camera lens (3.2 MP) instead of a plastic lens like most other phone cameras have. This phone also has Voice navigation, and it works very well. A nice surprise was to see that the 5800 also has Handwriting Recognition. We tried it out and it was very accurate, so no more typing everything in. There is also a video mode on this phone, but unlike ordinary phones, the 5800 has a actual video light for you to use.
Originally we wanted to buy a iPhone, but we refuse to buy anything connected to AT&T, so we decided to give this phone a try. We are very glad that we did. You can also use the 5800 to make voice memos, and with an added app like Total Recall you can even record your phone calls. The 5800 also has GPS, so you can use it for getting voice directions when trying to find a new destination. The pluses for this phone far out weight the few negatives that it has. Oh and for those of you who are using a pre-paid phone service, this phone works just fine. Just make sure you update the firmware. Basically, just stay away from the Ovi store and you should be very happy with this phone.

Title: Best Phone I've had
Date: September 10, 2009
Product Uses: Connecting with Friends, pictures, just about anything, calls
Review:Bought this phone a couple of months ago and it has some of the greatest features. There is nothing the iphone can do that this one can't. If it only had a broader app store this would be the best phone out in the market. gps, decent camera(3.2), good internet browser, social networking apps, all that and a bag of chips ;)
