It was operational out of the box and has supplied a wealth of entertainment and practical use, which I didn't expect.Downloading is fast and easy if you follow the directions. Review:I originally bought my 10 year old son the Nintendo DS to replace the one he had broken. However, a co-worker recommended the PSP instead. So I did some research on it and found the PSP 3000 and the PSP Go. I decided on the PSP 3000 rather than the GO for several reasons. The screen on the 3000 is slightly larger. The games for it are cheaper because you can find them on Sale and Clearance (you can't in most cases with the Go). And lastly, you can trade in the games when you are done with them on the 3000. You can't with the Go. This was one of the best purchases I made for my son. He LOVES the PSP and I can honestly say the games and graphics are 10x better on the PSP than on the Nintendo DS. The shipping with Dell was excellent. I've not had to deal with them since on any issues so I don't know how that would work but all in all, I am very pleased with this purchase!

Review:The PSP does what is expected of it. The display is awsome and there is a good number of games to purchase. I suggest purchasing extended waranty/additional coverage with the PSP unit. Should the unit fall and the display cracks the unit is not covered under normal waranty. no matter when the unit was purchased.

Review:The PSP 3000 is a great portable system. I bought 2 of these after my sons psp 2001's screen broke. One for my son and one for my husband. They have had a great time with them. The screen is easier to see than the 2001 system was and has a built in microphone. We thought about getting the new psp go instead but prefer the disc drive since we have several games already on disc and you can find used and older games on sale. The sound on these psp's is not that good, so I recommend a good headset with it.

Review:We bought the PSP 3000 because my son's 2000 (purchased used) finally failed due to the common Square Button sticking that affected many of the 2000 series. Hopefully the 3000 won't suffer the same fate!
The graphics are great, and my son loves the games. The ability to play movies that you can actually see is a plus as well.
I'm not crazy about the use of a spinning disk (the UMDs) since they seem to be to be prone to dust and scratching, but all the games we have have been working well for over a year, so Sony seems to have done a good job with it.
Not sure how the Sony PSP-Go will pan out, so we decided to stick with the PSP.
Bottom line is my 15 year old son could have gotten a Nintendo DS (his brother and sister have them), but he decided to stick with his PSP!

Review:Experience of purchasing from Dell online site Dell.com was smooth and easy. Delivery came in faster than expected.
Even though the price of the product changed upward in two days from $124 to $150 range due to Dell's limited days promotion !!
PSP is an excellent product. It did not come with required memory card so I had to spend another $30 on Pro Duo card to be able to play some games. Excellent graphics.

Review:My wife and I each have our own. We spend a lot of time playing games and enjoy every minute of it. One of the best buy's I have ever made. Glad I chose the PSP over another brand. Everything about it is first class! Do yourself a favor, if your going to store pictures and/or music get the 16gb memory stick. I did and don't regret it. If it is just for games 1gb will more than suffice.

This is the best portable system yet (in my opinion)and I speak with experience! I own a Nintendo DS and before I bought this, I loved it! But the PSP is amazing and as soon as I played it I knew I had found the right system for my gaming needs. I highly recommend it! The only bad thing is the some-what easy to scratch screen, but that problem can be avoided by buying Dell's Accidental Damage from Handling for Handheld Devices plan. Don't hesitate to buy this!

Review:I got my PSP for total amount about $144 ( after 25% off and plus tax and shipping). that was the best price I could find on the net (for 3000 version). so far, have been using it for about a month. no problem at all. Mine came with 5.02 PSP OS which is modyable! After got it modied! I can Play iso game and a lot of bonus (such as read txt book, play NES or SNES...etc game, watch FLV format media). am extremely happy with my perches. Not sure if there is still any promotion on this one, if so, don't wait! just get yours!
