Title: Great All-Round Camera

Review:This camera is very easy to use straight out of the box and even easier when you read the instructions. The photos taken with this camera are clear and sharp with colors bordering on being a tad bit oversaturated. I have not encountered any purple fringing that can be an issue with many digital cameras. shutter speeds are very quick capturing action scenes, freezing the subject in mid-flight.
One of my 2 qualms about this camera is that the flash unit has to be manually popped up when it is needed and needless to say, I have missed a few digital moments from not remembering to pop up the flash before I press the shutter button. Speaking of shutter button (my 2nd qualm), I have found that sometimes, especially after taking 30-50 shots on a full battery charge, I will press the shutter release and nothing happens. After 3-4 more presses, it will take the picture. Sometimes this can be just a little frustrating, however, it is certainly not a deal breaker. I highly recommend this camera not only for the novice photographer but also those who are much more advanced. With the long, fast lens and multiple in-camera processing options, there really are not too many reasons to have any other cameras but this one.... put this on your short list of cameras to have either as a primary camera or as a back-up to a more professional setup.

ProsThis camera has so many features. I can't wait to learn how to use all of them. If you are not into reading user manuals this camera is not for you.
ConsManual Flash, hard to remember to open the flash. After a while it will become habit. The auto setting doesnt take the best of pictures.

Pros18x Optical. Very very light weight compared to my old Canon Powershot Pro 1.
ConsI found out you have to manually flip the flash up in order for the autoflash to work. It really bothered me every single time when I ask someone to take a picture for me at a party or trip, I have to remember to flip the flash up, or else pictures came to be dark. Also, this camera does not supports RAW format.
Review:I wish Nikon would make it easy for consumers to view and download their camera manuals online. If I knew about the flash not being fully automatic, I wouldn't buy this camera at all.

ProsEverything other than cons...
Consseems as though if the flash is not on, then the pictures come out blurry and orange. And yes that is with the stabalizer on. I would still buy this again...its just a getting use to thing.

ConsPoor picture quality
Review:I wanted to get a really nice camera since my old, cheaper one got dropped and busted. I thought this camera would be everything I wanted, but I was very dissapointed. I didn't have it long enough to go through all of the features. I basically just wanted it to take nice pictures of my kids. I read the manual and tried every setting, and my pictures always came out blurred or yellow. I tried different lighting to eliminate the yellow pics, but that didn't work either. Almost every picture I took came out either discolored or blurry. It seems other people have had better luck by reading the reviews. I am not an "extra features" kind of person. I just wanted it for basics, and unfortunately, I was not impressed at all.

ProsA fabulous camera all-around. Price is tremendous. As far as editing software, I use the Kodak Easyshare for fast editing, printing all sizes of pictures and it works just great. Zooming is awesome as is the macro feature.
ConsNone that come to mind at the moment.

ProsTypical Nikon quality, with state of the art features.
ConsThis camera is a high end point and shoot camera that does not come with photo editing software. It seems to me that, that is what digital photography is all about. On the phone Nikon is happy to recommend their complex editing software for a price. They also say you can use any editing suite you have. I was hoping for an advance in technology.
