Title: best tv ever
|
Date: February 9, 2009

ProsBest buy i ever made. The picture is astounding. The sound is movie theater quality.(no joke) Just a great piece of equipment to upgrade your house. Easy to hang on the wall. The thing that first got my attention about the philips flat screens is for some time now, they hide the speakers so the overall shape stays consistant. Its sleek, smooth and just awesome. The first time i watched a movie on it, me and my friend couldnt get over the way the picture moves. I bought my first philips flat screen 2 years ago, i just bought this one. My next one will also be a philips.
Consevery once in awhile the picture will drag a little bit. and sometimes the sound is too good if you can believe that. at night i have to turn off the incredible and bbe to even the sound out to keep from waking up my family.( no bass our loud parts like gun shots/screams ect) Great tv.
Review:buy it

Title: Hit or Miss

ProsI bought 2 of these TV's for my kids Christmas, One was very good, excellent sound and picture.
ConsThe other TV's picture was very poor and dealt with Philips resolve the problem. Instead of sending a new TV they sent a refurbished one that had more problems then the new one.
Review:After dealing with Philips i have found their products to be poor quality compared to other makes the same price. I will never buy another Philips product.

Title: LOVE IT!
|

ProsWe love this tv. The picture is great. We couldnt be happier with our purchase.
ConsWe download the software upgrade from the philips website, only to find out the software was already up to date. That was a waste of time, but glad to know it is shipping with current software.

ProsThe picture of the television is excellent. It was very easy to set-up with my high definition box. Just follow the colors on each. The picture is 3D quality. I would definitely recommend the television to all my friends.I give the viewing picture 5 stars.
ConsThe stand that came with the television did not have the appropriate screws to mount on the wall. The were very hard to locate even Home Depot didn't have them.

Pros(MOTHER) BOUGHT TELEVISION FOR FATHER AS CHRISTMAS PRESENT. UNSURE OF PHILIPS QUALITY WHEN PURCHASED. AFTER ONE WEEK OF USE AND THE MUST OF DOWNLOADING THE SOFTWARE UPGRADE THIS TV OUTPERFORMS OTHERS REVIEWED. THE SOFTWARE DOWNLOAD IS A MUST AND EASY TO DO!! TV HAS INVISIBLE SOUND. SPEAKERS ARE HIDDEN AT BOTTOM AND MORE SPEAKERS IN REAR GIVING A PRETTY NICE SOUND FOR TV SPEAKERS. 4 HDMI INPUTS & USB FOR PHOTO VIEWING OR SOFTWARE UPDATES. ALSO HAS HEADPHONE INPUT (AWESOME) & RARE. INITIAL CONCERNS OUT THE DOOR AFTER DOWNLOADING SOFTWARE UPDATE. THIS TV HAS IT ALL. LOTS OF INPUTS AND VERY NICE PICTURE QUALITY AND DESIGN. MOVIES LOOK 3D. IT PUTS YOU IN THE SCENE. ALSO CALLED PHILIPS TECH SUPPORT ABOUT SOFTWARE UPGRADE. THEY WERE VERY KIND AND KNOWLEDGABLE. THE 47" TV OF THIS MODEL GETS RECOMMENDED & EXCELLENT PICTURE QUALITY & SOUND BY CONSUMER REPORTS.
Cons60 HZ. SOME MOTION BLUR BUT EXPECTED WITH LCD 60 HZ TELEVISIONS. SOME OF THE SETTINGS ARE NOT FAVORITE BUT JUST TAKE SOME GETTING USED TO. AUTOMATIC PICTURE SETTING LEAVES SOME CHANNELS IN A ZOOM MODE. NEED TO LEAVE ON WIDESCREEN. JUST REMEMBER IF BUY FROM DELL YOU HAVE 21 DAYS TO RETURN WITH NO EXCEPTIONS!
Review:OVERALL AWESOME TV SO FAR. AFTER TWEAKING AND DOWNLOADING SOFTWARE UPGRADE IT IS GOOD TO GO!
NICE SPECS FOR PRICE : 29,000 : 1 CONTRAST RATIO, 4 SPEAKERS, 4 HDMI INPUTS, USB INPUT, HEADPHONE INPUT
CAN'T BEAT IT FOR $899 & 12 MONTHS NO INTEREST

Title: Nice TV, Nice Price
|
Date: July 25, 2008
|
ProsThe picture using the HDMI cables on HD stations is amazing. The sound is also very good, I hardly have the volume up and can hear the TV fine. Music also sounds good through the TV speakers. There are options for changing picture and sound preference But I find the Movies and Theater options work well for sports and Concert viewing. I have had the TV for about 2 months and and have not had any problems. Very easy to connect DVD Player and Thumbs. I;m using all HDMI connections and the picture looks great!!!
ConsOn analog stations there is some motion blurring. The TV picture will auto size in the middle of watching a program on non HD stations. This does not seam to occur during Sports or watching TV or movies filmed in HD.

Title: My first LCD tv and second HD tv
|
Date: July 7, 2008
|
ProsI was impressed how easy it was set-up including removal from the box. Rear firing speakers give great sound and gives the front of the TV a nice appearance. Plenty of inputs. I am using all four HDMI inputs. Very bright picture. Have no trouble seeing the picture with blinds open Easy to use menu system. Firmware update was fairly easy to do (make sure you follow instruction to the letter). USB slot for doing firmware updates and viewing pictures and listening to music (I have yet to see if the TV works with my multi car reader).
ConsHad trouble getting the yellow to my liking. The TV has shut itself off and turned back on twice so far (tech support said this was caused by a signal flaw coming through the HDMI cable). Had three episodes of loud white noise coming through the speakers (again tech support says it caused from the signal it received from the HDMI cable). The only way to clear this problem was to change the channel on the tv and back again. There is motion blur despite of the 5 ms response time. Non HD video still looks better on my HD crt directi view TV. Auto sizing sometimes adust the picture several time in a matter of seconds. While watching a Blu-Ray movie on my PS3, I noticed the bottom of the movie was cut-off (Auto sizing is suppose to correct this). No optical output.
Review:I don't know if motion blurring can be eliminated, on this TV it wasn't. Maybe the 120 MHz TVs are better and ridding motion blurring (this TVs are more expensive, but might be worth it).
When I first set-up the TV, I was ready to send it back and keep my CRT HD TV. The CRT TV never has motion blurring, and delivers a better picture for non HD shows. My wife and I are getting to like the TV and really enjoy the quality of the HD picture while watching MLB games. Would be nice if the TV had a optical output.
