ProsIt always works. Very rarely does it miss feed documents. If it does, it's because the paper is bonded just like how new money sticks together. Very easy to setup, plenty of options in the software to cover almost every scenario. I've scanned my driver's license to a legal document with no problems. Takes up very little desk space.
ConsNo cons to really mention. It really is a great scanner and works like a champ.

Review:You might want to pick up a paper shredder if you use this product. You will need to dispose of all those potentially sensitive documents once you start using this product.
I've used several different scanners in the past; mostly flat bed. I bought my ScanSnap just over two years ago. Every Friday, I scan all my bills, legal documents, etc. and they all turn out really nice in a PDF file. Talk about convenience.
As a suggestion, save your PDFs into folders named after what the PDF corresponds. Then, name the file in the YYYY-MM-DD XXXXXXX.pdf format. This way when you look into that folder, everything gets sorted by date automatically. I use the statement date, etc. for the file name and it makes it much easier to find documents.
When I travel with my laptop, I have access to all of my records right at my finger tips. Contracts, electric bill, mortgage documents, etc. Very, very handy. Not to make a plug here, but I would strongly recommend storing your PDF files on to something like the IronKey for added security of such sensitive documents.

ProsThis unit is a must for those who want to get rid of your paper files. Super fast scanning to pdf, can even do both sides of the paper, this is selectable in the very easy to use interface software. The scanner is also very portable, easy to take to and from the office, having this scanner has made my home and business office clutter free of paper files.
ConsNone, this scanner is the best money can buy for personal and small business use.
