Review:If you have need for a multi-device setup this router is pretty good. The speed for devices hardwired to the device is much better at the 5Ghz than the old 2.4 I had previously.
If you are use to a monitor system showing up on your tool bar this product is not for you. It takes some getting use to but login/webbase monitoring system isn't bad. The help function is fairly easy to use and I was able to fix my wireless connection issues fairly quickly.
DO NOT buy this router if you are using Windows 7 it is not currently supported.

Title: The Worst- drops connections all the time
|
Date: October 17, 2009
|
Review:I've had this router for 10 months. Spent $100.00+ in tech calls to netgear. It constantly drops the connection. I've tried everything to fix and finally just bought a Linksys and have no issues. I've read up on this model and it appears from other sites that there might be manufacturing issues with this model. Don't waste your time and money.

Title: Does not work with 64-Bit
|
Date: August 5, 2009
|
Product Uses: internet connection
Review:I purchased a new computer from Dell a part of the options for this computer was this wireless router. However this router does not support Vista 64-bt, which is what Dell pre-loaded to my system. After a few tech calls that I have to call Dell no I have to call Netgear, no you have to call Dell. I was told that Netgear has no intention of supporting Vista 64-bit. I finally was able to swap this router out for one that is compatible with Vista 64-bit.

ProsWorks great now that it is finally working.
ConsTook hours of attempts to get it working. I had a computer IT guy and it took him many tries. Software couldn't find a connection. Finally tried the old unplug and start over process. After several attempts at this it finally made a connection.

ProsVery easy installation - and so far I have not lost my connection one time.
ConsThe only problem that I have is the blue light flashing constantly, they could of used a much smaller light. It literally works as a night-light.

ProsEasy to install. Worked first time like a charm. Range is throughout my (not very large) house with no problem. No interference with phones or anything else. We use 3 wired computers and two wireless laptops in our house. This router does it all.

ProsWorks well after I finally got it set up. Has fairly strong conncetion throughout my house.
ConsInstallation was not as easy as they said. No paper manual. The blue blinking light is somewhat annoying.
Review:It says intalls in 20 minutes, it took me 3 hours, 1 phone call to my ISP provider and 1 call to Netgear (to talk to a operator who speaks broken english.) I was really frustrated and tired when I got done setting it up.

Title: Avoid this router
|
Date: January 26, 2009
|
ProsNone, I don't like this product
ConsThis products did not work well. We had the Linksys system which always worked and decided to upgrade. Big mistake. It wasn't hard to install but never worked properly. When we tried to contact Netgear, they wanted a credit card to just talk to them. We never had that problem with the Linksys system. When we had initial, they helped resolve the issue with no charge. Half the time we couldn't get internet access. When we did get internet access, it cut in and out and we always had to reset. It never worked on the higher speed setting. We have reinstalled our Linksys system and no more problems. Will be returning this product.

Title: continious drop out
|
Date: January 19, 2009
|
Prossignal is great when close to the device. Normally connects on the lower band
ConsDoes not normally connect on the 802.11n. the connection is normally weak on that frequency. The connection is normally poor whenever I move away from the the device. I normally have to move the laptop close to the device to connect. Whenever I go to my bedroom which is about 6 feet away I don't get the connection. I am very disappointed in the product.
Review:Maybe someone could share their thoughts on the problem may be.

Title: netgear
|
Date: January 6, 2009

ProsIt was easy to install. Did not need to contact technical support with this particular model.
ConsAs with every netgear router I have purchased I have to reboot everything it seems every few days. I hate calling for technical support because of the length of the waiting time plus not being able to understand the technician's broken English
Review:It would be nice if netgear would actually have Engish speaking technicians.

Title: WNDR3300 RangeMax
|
Date: December 22, 2008

ProsSimple setup with new Dell XPS PC, however, I'm not sure if it would have been that easy with an older model PC. I can't tell any difference in speed from a wired device. The router has dropped out only once in the first 30 days of use.
ConsI would have hated to do this manually because of my lack of expertise with wireless products. No paper manual at all. I did have to call the Support line once to get the last step of the process. They were very good and had me connected in 30 seconds.
Review:Security is the latest technology which is important to me
