Review:I'm very impressed with my ALTEC LANSING speakers. The sound is great and what a wonderful feature being able to run the ipod or mp3 player to the AUX. No distorted sound either. The woofer sounds great too. I am all around very satisfied with the speaker system I got.I love my DELL INSPIRON 530 too.
There are no cons to either product I own.

Review:These little speakers are excellent for their size. I've been using them for games that have a lot of explosions and detailed sounds. They have enough grunt considering they are small. I would recommend them to anyone who wants great sound with little out of pocket expense. I use Logitech Z2300 speakers for gaming at the student lounge and these BXR1121 match the sound of the more expensinve Z2300. Great speaker, great price. Thank you Dell for offering this system.

Review:I bought these to replace another set of Altec Lansing PC Speakers I had that worked great. These however, are a big disappointment. The sound quality isn't what I expected and the satellites tip over easily as they don't have a good base and/or not weighted. The power switch is on the back of the sub-woofer which is a pain to get to and now the sub-woofer has to sit on top of my desk in order to be switched on and off. On my previous A-L speakers, the switch was on the right satellite speaker. The cables between the satellites are short so you cannot space the speakers more than 2 1/2 feet apart. IMHO, Altec Lansing fell asleep at the switch on these speakers.

Title: Altec Lansing lives up to my expectations

ProsThis is my third Altec Lansing Speaker. Before I bought this one, I tried a set of 2.0 Logitech speakers. I'm glad I returned those and got this one. The audio quality is simply superb.
ConsThe speakers can be a little unstable on your desk. A slight push is enough to topple them over. But this should not be a deterrent for buying these great speakers.
Review:The Aux input does not make much sense. I use the speakers for my laptop. When I want to connect my Sony Walkman, I just unplug the audio jack from my laptop and plug it into my MP3 player.
I think the aux input and the plastic 'ipod stand' is just a marketing gimmick to show it is ipod compatible.
But no harm in having an additional input jack!

ConsI agree the desk speakers can fall over easily but I solved that by putting them on the top part of my desk, out of the way.

ProsGreat sounding speakers with a nice idea for patching in an ipod or mp3 player. You can still use your computer and play your ipod without disconnecting or overloading your speakers. No problems with distortion, hum, or any interference with cell phones (nextel direct connect), like my old surround system did.

ProsGood bass, treble, and its loud. Theres even two jacks, 1 for headphones and the is an auxiliary output.
ConsThe speakers aren't weighed down enough so slight movement usually causes the speakers to fall down

ProsThe bang for the buck with these speakers is oustanding, not to mention Dell's superior efficiency in shipping promply. The sound quality of this speaker system is excellent!
ConsThe base of the left and right speakers would be augmented greatly by having rubber cushions, to keep them from sliding.
