Title: Do not purchase this!!!!! Date: August 7, 2008
ProsGood features for PDA
ConsSo it comes with a GPS but really it isn't what you think it paid for. The GPS has limited version. Most of the location of interest are not listed so I always have to go back and mapquest where am going. It is not user friendly. The battery dies so quick and you can't use the GPS because the screen is always disabled every seconds. I totally regret buying this. Inaddition to my frustration, they gave me the wrong car charger. If you just bought this, thinking you will enjoy the GPS, please return it or you will REGRET~~~~~~OR GOOD LUCK

Title: A true Gem! Date: April 13, 2008
ProsThis Pharos 535e is very user friendly in fact I returned a few PDAs before trying this item out. At first glance it is a thing of beauty, build solid and has a great feel to it. The QVGA screen is awesome I have never seen a screen look so good and sharp it is really something else. The programs installed are fine if you don't need a whole bunch of other applications and windows mobile 5 runs smooth. I really like the layout and Pocket MSN is a nice little touch and Excel, Word and GPS work great. I use Garmin XT mobile and it works flawlessly with great voice guided directions. I would recommend this product to anyone it's too bad that most people have never heard of Pharos this is a really nice PDA and GPS device.
ConsI had a little hard time setting up my POP3 account due to it's high security settings so I had to change a bunch of stuff just to get it to work. Wish there was a hard shell case for it for protection and to store extra SD cards. Battery is great if you do not use YouTube Mobile otherwise it will drain your battery quickly, and I mean quickly. I found out pretty quickly that you have to use the ear phone pieces that come with the unit because nothing else to my knowledge fits into the slot for other earpieces. No PDF on here still looking to download Adobe 2.0.

Review:Overall I found the Pharos 535e to be a great PDA/GPS unit. It is nice it works well and isn't slow. It does have Windows Moblile five and to my knowledge it can not be upgraded to Windows Mobile 6 I tried and the unit said it could not remove 5 in place of 6. I wish Pharos though would have a little more accessories for the protection of this unit I am almost afraid to take it anywhere just because I feel like I am going to scratch the screen or someone may have sticky fingers. I have to applaude Pharos though it is a well built machine and I truly believe that it is underated due to other companies on the market. Would buy again if stolen though.

Title: Why Haven't I Owned One of These Sooner?? Date: March 14, 2008
ProsVery, very user friendly. I started using it the day I received it and already have most of my information stored in it. It has so many marvelous features that I am really enjoying using. Word, Excel, Calendar, Tasks they are all very easy to use and I would highly recommend this product. Even though I use a computer every day at work and at home, I was pretty scared about purchasing a PDA. I am old school when it comes to keeping track of appointments, To Do Lists and passwords but I finally got to the point where I needed something easier to use and this is IT! I love the fact that everything I need to keep me organized is on this small "box"! Technology is wonderful!
ConsNone that I have found.

Title: Switching from Palm to Windows Date: January 28, 2008
ProsLots of features, great price
ConsBattery life seems very limited.

Review:This is my fourth PDA, and first Windows unit. I loved my first Palm OS unit, a Handspring; liked my second, a Zire 71, a lot less; and was disappointed with the Palm TX that I lost last year. Palm software kept getting worse instead of better! This unit took a bit of getting used to, and could use some off-line software documentation. Windows Mobile is not all that intuitive, and getting both the WiFi and the GPS operating the first time was frustrating due to the lack of clues in the documentation.

Title: Who could want anything more? Date: January 21, 2008
ProsIt's sleek, powerful, fast, and I installed TomTom and it works flawlessly! I love the ease of use. It simply great!
The windows mobile installed OS is nice, and everything works like a charm.
GPS is GREAT!
ConsThe speakers do not sound that great, but what do you expect? Look how small they are.
Battery lasts a few hours, but I wish it lasted a little longer.
It does not sync with Mozilla...very disappointing. Maybe there is a 3rd party solution for this.

Review:I recommend getting this one and not the more expensive step up. The only difference is the GPS software, and TomTom can be purchased reasonably cheap!
If you need to keep track of appointments, phone numbers, addresses, work with Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, need to keep Mp3's, videos or GPS functions this one is for you!

Title: Great PDA Date: December 31, 2007
ProsUnit is built very nicely, and fits conveniently in you hands or pocket. WiFi is great, you can find a "Hotspot" and you are connected to the internet and surfing. Unit includes GPS chipsets. With the naviation software, this great PPC would function as a great GPS navigator.
ConsNone really to speak of.

Review:I pick up WiFi signals all over the place, so checking e-mail isn't very difficult to do on the road. The unit is great, and I would recommend it.
