Title: Best N Router
|
Date: October 20, 2008
|
ProsIts been more than a month now we have this router. It has got very good signal Strength. Works with My new Laptop (N) and old one (g). No connectivity Problems. Easy to setup. One of the best routers I have seen so far.
ConsSetting up WEP passcode to restrict access is a bit difficult. For now I am restricting on MAC address.

Title: Mixed but not happy
|
Date: July 21, 2008

ProsIt set itself up on the new Vista and old XP. I had no expirience with networking besides some reading. "I'm the king of geeks" I thought. I was worried of the signal getting through the thick walls of our 2300 sf old house but no problems. Very long range. Small, nice and sleek look.
ConsThe XP will work for weeks then goes through stages of dropping off the net daily. First thought there was some sort of interfirence but after 9 months, I can't find any. The big problem though is the wireless 948 AIO printer. It never works unless you unplug it, pull the adapter out and reboot. I've read up, changed settings, tried three different Network Utilities, Windows, Belkin's, and Dells with bad to worse results. $200 printer and the wife wants me to hook the old one.
Review:I would still recomend it as I might just be an idiot at networking and I haven't had any others to compare it to.

Title: Highly Recomended
|
Date: July 14, 2008

ProsRight out of the box. Easy to set up. Easy for everything to get connected to. Security a snap to set up.
ConsI don't have any cons to present at this time.
Review:I had ordered a Lynksis WRT600n initally and had nothing but set up and connection problems. With this unit I anticipated the worst and got the best. I was always used to being a Lynksys man, but I believe I have been won over.

Title: Go Ahead and Get It
|
Date: June 3, 2008
|
ProsEasy Installation Great Range High Speed
ConsNot sure who to blame but sometimes I don't get a signal from it. Could be the internet company or the router. So lets just say when its working its good, when its not is Not. It works 90% of the time.
Review:Don't let internet companies trick you into purchasing wireless internet in addition to your regular DSL connections. If you have two or three computers just purchase a router (a one time cost) and connect in between your existing internet connections. And be sure to make your wireless secure with a password.

Title: Great Disappointment
|
Date: May 11, 2008
|
ProsExtremely easy to set-up Has a very small equipment footprint
ConsHorrible connection drops
Review:I used this router as my first wireless system base station and I was greatly disappointed with the performance of the system. On a daily basis I get drops from the router which causes me to have to reboot my system every time in order to reestablish the connection. I also have the base station extension which allows the connection of USB devices for the wireless hub which works most of the time but like the base station, it drops intermittently as well. I would not recommend this system for anyone that is ready to implement a truly wireless home system.

Title: Fast-n-Easy
|
Date: January 22, 2008

Pros*Super easy to install *Low profile *Display is easy to read - has actual graphic icons instead of blinking LEDs over tiny little words that you can't read in the dim light *Security website easy to use and contains loads of definitions, explanations, and a great glossary *Strong signal throughout 900 sq ft house, even through closed doors; made it to the far end of our patio before my signal dropped just a bit
ConsNone so far
Review:Just got this today, had it installed in ten minutes. I consider myself somewhat tech savvy and was ready to be all superior about how I "figured out the router" and all that, but Belkin packaged the thing in such a way that anyone - and I mean anyone - can put this thing in right out of the box. Everything is labeled with a letter that corresponds with what you're supposed to plug in where, and the setup wizard on the CD is a snap. I haven't figured out getting my Dell 1521 built-in wireless card to work with the higher security settings, but I haven't tried very hard yet, and it's working fine with the 64-bit to start. We are using a Clearwire modem with this router, and that's working great, too. (We live in an area with limited choices for high speed internet, and DSL is not an option due to ancient phone lines.) Overall, I'm very satisfied.

Title: Awesome
|
Date: October 17, 2007

ProsExtremely easy to set up, indicators lights are helpful, fast, no drops/stable and good value for the features
ConsOnly complaint is it would have been nice if Belkin included a gigabit switch instead.
Review:I replaced my previous router which was a NetGear WNR-834B with this router instead. The NG had major issues with constant disconnects and it would slow down dramatically. This Belkin is stable and fast. I am averaging around 260-295mbps transfer rates. The NG would drop down to 10-20mbps which is not acceptable. I am very happy with this purchase and highly recommend it.

Title: Belkin N Router
|
Date: September 26, 2007
|
ProsPerformance - signal strength Picture Icons to report status Ease of installation Design Works well on all bands
ConsNone
Review:I replaced another leading brand router with this Belkin because of ongoing dropped signals. Even though I updated my Intel chip which improved BT performance, my cell phone continued to interfere with the earlier model. The Belkin router has performed without a single dropped signal for more than two weeks. I can place the cell phone and Targus BT mouse right next to the computer without a problem. The picture icons on the Belkin clearly show everything about the operation of your netwok. Hardwired or wireless. Beautiful. There is little drop in signal anywhere in my house. Works well on all bands. This is a can't miss product.
