Review:Loved Halo 1, was indifferent to Halo 2. But Halo 3 is awesome! I'm still partial to the original game, but the graphic improvements and continuation of the story are well worth investing the time into this installment (I read the first few books before I ever played the games, so the story is important to me).
The single player campaign is great; the last level left a lot to be desired, but it's not detrimental to the overall experience. My only real complaint is that--like Halo 2--the game is pretty short (I guess that's where ODST will come in).
The co-op mode is great. Don't have much to say about the multiplayer mode as previous encounters with the online Halo community have not endeared me to the idea that playing this game with strangers is fun.

ProsI'm writing as an "old man" who bought this for his daughter for Christmas. I played it with her. The graphics are spectacular and I am very impressed with the speed provided by the 360. I would report that she and her boyfriend had a great time. They worked together and had a lot of fun. They enjoyed the ability to drive and testing the variety of weapons. They found the game both challenging and fun. Now me, I found the split level confusing and didn't get very far in the level before they bailed me out. But then I don't think the game was invented for "old men". :-)
ConsIt was hard to read the screen writing on my "older" tv. But I'm sure that would be corrected with a tv from the past year or two.
Review:This is a great game. The programming allows smooth movement. The combat situations provide a variety of different challenges. I would recommend it.

Consthe problem is the games does not work we got the xbox 360 elite and halo 3 days ago but the halo 3 is not working after 3 days it wont load. I have looked around and it seems like this is a common problem. I called microsoft support and they are going to replace it but it is going to take 4 weeks . That is too long After the problem I have looked around at more revies and the problem seems to be with the halo 3 disks i can understand but 4 weeks is too long to wait for a replacement when it istheir fault . I have read that as many as 3 out of 5 games have to be sent back

Review:This game was overhyped as it is just a FPS. Though it is probably one of the best console FPS ever as there probably isn't another, it is just a FPS. "Finishing the fight" will not take that long as it is a short game though you will keep on playing with the multiplayer as that is the main reason to purchase the game. With future updates and maps coming out you will be playing the game for future time to come.

Prosthis game is fun, you could play online with people around the world and get a free xbox live trial gold for a month. you can also play with friends through the story mode online. getting medals and awards for your gameplay also pays for for those online to see.
Consgame was to short, to expensive and over rated. this was no better then Halo 2. you should just wait until the price goes down in a few months.

ProsOkay graphics, but I expected more from all the hype. I think GRAW 2 is far more realistic graphics wise. I guess if you played HALO 1 and 2 this game is an improvement in graphics.
ConsToo scripted. I felt I was just tagging along in the game. Total letdown in game play. Seemed like just a rehash of the same old stuff. After playing games like Ghost Recon, I just find it hard to go back to games where you can take so much damage and continue to fight. I like the realism of 1 shot or 1 burst taking you or the enemy out. Tactics really don't come into play in this game. It comes down to who can shot faster. Boring!
Review:If your new to HALO and gaming, then this game will be a good stsrt.

ProsGood graphics Great music Nice cutscenes Frequent auto-save checkpoints keeps you moving along even if you die Interesting storyline (even if somewhat contrived in places) Campaign gameplay is pretty fun (while it lasts) Decent level design
ConsWay too short End "boss" battle is a complete letdown No real bosses to speak of (just masses of same old handful of monster types) Only one savegame (switch to campaign mode from solo? change difficulty setting? lose your save) Nothing new for competitive multiplayer (same old run, shoot, jump, die, respawn... been doing that for 15+ years) Missions have far too much backtracking (makes it boring... "I've already been here") Too few types of enemies (it's boring to kill the same handful of monster types over and over again) Constantly reloading is annoying (you'd think by now we'd be past shotguns with a handful of rounds) Constantly searching for weapons after running out of ammo is annoying Entire "veto" system is archaic and stupid (why can't I just request a particular type of game in matchmaking?) Too few weapon types Vehicle control is terrible (even the computer A.I. has trouble driving) Too many/too long cutscenes (feels like I'm watching the game rather than playing... most of the actually interesting things happen in cutscenes) Many bugs still in the game
Review:This game definitely falls short of the wild pre-release hype. Perhaps people new to the genre or to deathmatch arenas will find it fun for a while, but old-hats like me will quickly get bored. The game is just way too short, repetitive, and the competitive multiplayer is "been there, done that, bought the t-shirt". Halo 1 and 2 players will likely enjoy being able to finally "finish the fight", even if it isn't exactly very exciting. Still, don't expect anything new or mind-blowing. Quite a disappointment.
