Review:I was never a Canon camera user. However, I believe that has now changed with the purchase of this A560 camera. It is truly a point and click workhorse. The qualities of the images are crisp and amazing. I love the features and flexibility this camera provides. I will continue to purchase Canons for years to come. They could charge more for this camera if they wanted to. I am glad they did not. Good Luck!

Prosnot camera savy but managed to work my way through the instruction booklet quickly. User friendly, compact, sleek and stylish. Captured some of my most precious memories on the video, another feature we loved. This camera offers a digital camera and mini video recorder, all in one at a great price!!!
Consbattery life is short but purchased a rechargible kit and carried the charged batteries. Memory card is short but also bought a larger capacity memory card, solved that!!!

ConsI'd like o see separate compartments for fedica card and batteries - but it is a common design with many manufactures in the general consumer market.

Review:Bought 2 of these as gifts for Christmas because I wanted something my nieces could "grow" with (ages 14 and 10) and use in "active" situations. Got them each a pair of 1 GB SD cards so they could capture over 350 very fine full resulotion images on each card. They were delighted and were both taking picutures and enjoying the cameras within minutes. Will be great for school events and overall snapshot use. DELL is a great place to purchase from and provided quick delivery at a very competitive price - as usual.

ProsI took this camera to a concert and it took amazing pictures. The night time shots come out a bit noisy but over all pretty good.
ConsDuring the above mentioned concert, I had to change the batteries 3 times. If you buy this camera knowing the batt life stinks you will love it. Just keep extras when your gonna be shooting alot of pictures. Get those large double AA batt paks or buy rechargables.

Review:For the size and price this little camera takes very good pictures. It made it's way through a Styx/Foreigner/Def Leppard concert (3 plus hours) and gave me some great memories.

ProsThis is the second Powershot I've purchased --- my last one broke b/c I dropped it. I was very excited to see it on the Dell website for sale --- it was a great camera before and still is! And, it was a better price on the Dell website than I've ever seen it anywhere else! Thanks Dell for adding this product!

ProsNot a big camera user, but everything I've done with it works great. Even the video mode, utilizing a 1GB memory card I had on hand that doesn't claim to be fast.

Years ago, I bought a Sony digital camera that saved 640x480 pics on a floppy disc for about $700. It was so horrible I immediately returned it. Have been waiting ever since for digital cameras to be good enough and cheap enough to be worth owning rather than just using a film camera and scanning the photos on a flatbed scanner. They most definitely are now! This camera is excellent.
ConsDoesn't seem to work well with my (non-Canon) NiMH AA batteries. Within a couple of days the low battery indication is coming up, even if I've only taken a couple of pictures. I think that's something to do with NiMH AA batteries, though, since I've had the same problem in other applications. Regular alkalines work just fine in this camera. I'll probably use the NiMH's only on occasions where I plan to take a LOT of pictures in one day.

Review:With a 1GB memory card -- $15 these days -- this camera will take something like 150 pix. Scarcely any reason to ever take it out of the highest-rez mode. I have therefore disabled the digital zoom; don't see any reason to use it, since I can get the same result by taking the photo at full optical zoom and then cropping the picture later. It's nice that the camera makes it so clear when the digital zoom is starting to reduce the rez, and that it's so easy to disable it altogether.
