ProsHas a lot of hard disk space. Easy to use. Compact size.
ConsDoes not save as mpeg or avi. Editing software has limited faetures.

Review:Good overall camcorder. Need to purchase extra battery due to short battery life.

Title: Great little camera... Date: May 28, 2007
ProsThis video camera has a ton of great features for the price. I liked how easy it was to learn the different controls it has. The video picture quality is excellent and I love the 16:9 recording. I shot a video of the moon the other night and you could pick out the individual craters! I also like how you can edit your video on camera. The unit comes with some great software and you can download more for free over the Internet. The camera also has the ability to record video for playback on the Internet without any further conversion of the file. The sound is CD quality Dolby Digital.
ConsAs others reviewed before, the battery life is a little short but it charges pretty quickly. If you want more battery life you'll have to by a bigger one.

Review:I like the size and weight of this little video camera. It will be a great camera for travelling on vacations because it doesn't take up much room. The still pictures are good quality for uploading to the Internet. All in all I think it's a great buy!

Title: A cam that travels Date: May 17, 2007
ProsThe video & picture quality is above average in my opinion. The controls are easy to figure out and are easily reached with out having to stretch your fingers too much. The size is great for those who dont have alot of space to carry and it so light weight. The built in mic pics up all the sounds around with out the buzzing of background noise or thumping from air currents. The hard drive is big enough to hold alot of pic/video making it nice to not ahve to carry or switch out any cards or disks, A great item for the family to catch those special moments.
ConsThe still pictures are blurred in areas where there is not ALOT of light around...course without a flash of some kind will happen with any camera. The battery life is very short. That really is my only complaint

Review:Overall this is a great indoor/outdoor video camera but when it comes to still photos this camera does better outside. The outdoor pics are AWESOME. Being a proud father/family man I love the fact that this camera is easily tucked away and ready to go when those unexpected things happen.

have not had a problem with the battery life. Only that buying extras
are very expensive. The camera takes great videos and less than stellar
stills. But this is not a digital still camera though. I use a Mac and
have the right software for manupilating and viewing MOD files, so this
is not a problem. JVC loves their little joy stick to toggle through
their menu items. Overall, good camera for the price.
ConsThere
are limited manual controls and no mic input. This is pretty much a
"vacationer" camera. But only if you bring your computer on vacation in
order to get the video off the hard drive. This is a problem with HHD
cameras' and why mini-DVs are still around

Review:Wish
there was a viewfinder to save battery amd to minimize profile. Just
don't understand why JVC had 3 types that are so close together in
specs. Being I am a professional videogapher, I am probably going to be
looking for a higher-end camera. But for now, this one is doing the
job. Specially since I bought mine a great price.

ProsVery lightwieght, zoom is nice,dvd playblck is perfect..i enjoyed taking this Camcorder on vacation in place of my digtial tape camcorder.its very user friendly and with the optional share station, this is a must have..
ConsShort battery life, picture taking is not so great with this model, btu that's why i have a digital camera, if you are looking for better picture taking with a camcorder then go up a model which has over 1 mega pixel some go as high as 5

ProsThis camera is great. The user guide is friendly and easy to follow. The camera shows a great clear picture. There is nothing amateur about the videos that can be made.The camera also allows you to take still photos as if you were in real photo studio. I believe it is great for both amateurs and professionals.
