ProsLightweight. Excellent daytime outside video. You will be impressed with the quality of anything done outside in great lighting conditions. Fantastic zoom. It really gets to where you need it.
ConsAnything inside is going to be grainy no matter what kind of zoom you use. Nothing good with low lighting. Please understand that low lighting is a fan light or a desk lamp. It will not do good at those levels. Most of your shots will be inside (school events, church plays, silly home stuff) he shots will be grainy. This is not a phot or still camera. Do not be confused. If you zoom too fast you will lose your subject. It has no image stabilizer thus making it extremely difficult when you zomm to catch expressions or rich details.

Review:If you are a parent looking to upgrade to a mini tape or mini DV camera this is not for you. If you other camera has light or nighshot you will miss it in this camera.

ProsI was able to video tape all of the important moments with my sons birth into the world. Zooming was easy, and didn't need me to focus on the camera itself to find the zooming toggle. I was able to video tape a helicopter taking off from a hospital landing pad that delivered a smooth shot. Flipping the LCD screen around is an effortless process, and really lets you lay down on the ground and lets you make sure your getting in on the camera action while you play with the baby.
ConsThe battery that came with the camera lasts a good 2 hours or so of life without re-charging, if you can, upgrade to a better battery.

Review:Overall, I thought it was a great purchase, and if my wife can figure out how to use a new electronic equipment without my help. It scores really big in my book.

Pros1 - Focus is the best. I sat about 40 feet away and was able to zoom in and catch facial expressions.
2 - Weight. I was able to hold the Camcorder up for a two hour ceremony without a problem.
3 - Audio quality. All of the sound came through without a hitch.
4 - Downloading video to the computer and maintaining quality is superb.
5 - Price.
Cons1 - Wire for computer doesn't come with the Camcorder. You have to go out and buy one.
2 - Battery seems to run out before your mini-dv. I bought a backup battery though.

Review:I recently went to a graduation ceremony and watched all of the people with the more expensive Camcorders going into panic mode when their batteries ran out or having fuzzy pictures. This is funny because these Camcorders were $500-$800 and yet in the end I had better videos than they did. A SUPERB PRODUCT FOR A SUPERB PRICE! BUY IT NOW!

ProsExcellent buy. Received on Wednesday and took on vacation on Friday. Very satisfied with both sound and picture quality. Very simple to use, six year old granddaughter had no problems at all. Would recommend buying the large battery which has 3 times the life of the battery which is included.
ConsBattery life not as long as expected. Larger battery solved problem.

Review:Would recommend for any one. Can be used in the preset mode but also has all the features available for the camera buff.

ConsI should have done in-store research but didn't realize that this one would have the tape inserted from the bottom (not that big of a deal but worth mentioning). Also thought it took still pictures but haven't figured that out. No pc connection cable/bag/video tape.

Review:The reasons for more of the cons is because I thought newer camcorders were both video and still and that most of them had a memory stick slot for stills.
