ProsI have an older dimension 2350
I did the Dell diagnostic review to see how I could speed up the computer and graphics. Dell suggested the only two upgrades were buy this graphics card at $139 and buy another 512mb memory for $28. I got the memory clicked in real easy and notice a slight increase in speed. More able to open programs a little faster. The Card is a 256mb card and I now see 512 cards for $50 how can this be? Did I get ripped off paying $139 for a 256mb? Also my friend said that my older flat screen monitor (from 2003) cannot handle what the card can put out. That the old serial connectors are analog and cannot handle higher resolution. I feel a little duped by Dell. I think that should have been better explained and if there are 512mb cards by the same manufacturer being sold by other retailers for $50 I think I was ripped off.
ConsThe graphics card could use a little better instructions on how to install. Had to squeeze it into a PCI slot by shifting other things around... Didn't explain what all the extra adapters were for. Still don't know. Would have liked documentation on how it will affect an older machine like mine.
