Consthe micromate consistently failed to mount. it would succeed once after a reboot then fail the second and subsequent times. to have to reboot my system to extract flash memory content is less than convenient. even worse, with the 4gb card in the micromate, two attempts to unmount the memory caused my system to crash.

Review:as this is a package deal, the micromate failure kills the value of the package. all it takes is one consistently bad experience: it's the last sandisk product i buy. i'll use iogear for my sd card reader (it's also cheaper than the micromate) and lexar or anyone else for my flash cards.

for what it's worth, dell's price was and still is one of the best on this product.
