ProsThis is the second 1GB memory module I had purchased for my computer. I had no trouble installing either one & I'm 75 years old. Sure made a difference with my computer because I have a lot of games which take up a lot of space.

Review:Like many of the reviews I thought is was time to retire my Dell 2400. It took 20 minutes to turn on and get on the internet so I would leave it on and it would take 5 minutes to wake up. Whenever I needed something quick it seemed to take the longest.
I added 1 GB of memory to the 256 it has and it has new life! If you are not quite ready to buy a new computer the $60 was work the investment. I did realize how easy it would be. I am glad I looked into it.

Review:My Dell Dimension 2400 was very slow. There was a frequent "Virtual Memory Low" message. It took 15 minutes to get to the start page and another 5 to get on the Internet. Shutting down would take at least 5 minutes. I researched Dell's Q&A site & asked what the problem could be. I read that the computer was probably low on memory. I had 256k of memory, so I ordered 1 GB. I installed it in 5 minutes and WOW! the computer is smoking now. Thanks, Dell!

Review:Easy to install. I have never opened up a computer before but Dell provided step by step online instructions on opening it up, removing and replacing the RAM. I installed two 1GB modules into my old 2400 desktop and it runs like new. Everything is much faster and there are no delays. I would recommend this simple upgrade to anyone. I got free shipping too. The product arrives within a few days.

Review:I bought two memory modules to upgrade from 640mb to 2GB RAM. I thought I had made a mistake, since the computer BSOD'd all over the place. Turns out one module was bad. Called Dell customer service. Replacement was on my doorstep in less than three days. Call tag to return defective module sent by e-mail. Dropped off at UPS - no fuss. Replacement module is fine. Tower works GREAT. No BSOD's since. Very easy upgrade, even better customer service.

I need to have 5 applications running at the same time with one being a phone. Review:Even though I now have 3 times as much RAM as before, I found that this product did not make much of a difference in my computer's performance, and this is coming from someone who takes better-than-average care of her computer, so I know that my computer is running about as fast as it possibly can. I found the RAM module difficult to install; I had to press so hard to get it into the slot that I was afraid of breaking it. The price, however, is very decent; I've called around and the average price in my area was twice as much as Dell was selling it for.

Review:WOW. I'll say it again - WOW! I should have installed more memory a long time ago.
I bought two of these - that is as much memory as my system can handle. It was VERY easy to install. I had it all up and running in maybe a half hour (mostly because of cleaning all the dust inside the hard drive!). My computer is FAST. Faster than ever, it seems. No more waiting for anything. It used to take minutes for my browser to download. Now it is seconds.
I have DSL internet service and live in the country. I wasn't sure if maybe I needed a new machine; so glad I went this route. Gave my machine a new life.
