ProsFor the price they are great and the sound quality is decent for these speakers. They are better than my old set of Logitechs.
ConsIf you want home theater sound these speakers ARE NOT for you they are intended for a small computer.

Prosit a system it sounds good not great . I only use it on my computer to listen to music while am downloading songs to my ipod and the last dell speakers that came originally had stop working, so replacing them with this was a great improvement and 10x louder. Its a good size for a small computer table, and looks more durable than my old dell speakers.

ProsThese are great speakers with great mids and good bass if you EQ and isolate them from your desktop them. I think it would be hard to find a better deal! If you follow the recommendations below, you'll absolutely be satisfied.
ConsThe tone control is pretty useless because when you boost the bass you muddy the vocals. (see recommendations below)

Review:1) put some 1" soft, dense foam (I cut some from some packing material...it's like acoustic foam, not hard) underneath the speakers to de-couple them from your desk. The sound will improve 100% 2) EQ them through the Itunes Equalizer or something similar (add a little boost at 32, 4k, 8k and 16k and cut at 1k & 2k 3) start with the tone control all the way to the left and then increase it to add more bottom end..I usually run the tone control at about 10 o'clock 4) With Itunes EQ you can make your own presets or a general one for the X-140's Have fun!

ProsThese speakers have a sound quality and tone control that reminds me of most portable stereos. They should be the standard speaker upgrade for new PC orders. The sound is room filling even at low levels and clear as a bell with very little distortion at high volume levels (R&B music). The sleek design has sort of an industrial appearance but it only accentuates the ruggedness and durability in placement (place these on desk corners and don't worry about plastic shattering if they are accidentally knocked off), yet they blend in with modern decor as well. A win in sound, appearance and value.
ConsFor the price and application I found no cons for this product.

Review:If I could find a powered 50 watt version of these speakers for my PC I would buy them, even without a sub-woofer.

ProsSpeakers deliver a rich, warm sound yet deliver plenty of bass that others in this price range fail to provide. Black color matches well with a Dell PC that has a black mouse and keyboard.
