Title: Good overall purchase with a few minor nuisances Date: October 11, 2007
ProsVery functional unit, looks like it has all the buttons you need for Powerpoint and most DVD playing applications. It's very compact, which is also nice so that it's not very bulky in your hands.
ConsSticks out from your laptop, which can be a problem; to avoid snagging in your bag you will have to remove it and plug it in later. Doesn't seem to be completely compatible with some programs like Media Direct on Dell, but I haven't tried it with very many DVD player application software. Would be nice if it were universally compatible with the programs. For example, with media direct if I press the rewind button it will shrink the screen to a "picture in picture" format which is somewhat annoying.

Review:Overall a pretty good purchase, I would recommend it to others if you want something simple and small. Do be careful about it snags when it sits in the ExpressCard slot.

Title: Awesome! Date: September 17, 2007
ProsIts amazing. I generally use it for presentations. No more "Next Slide Please". Now I can go to next slide myself.
I also use it while watching movies. It works well with Media Player Classic. It has become hard to imagine my life on my Inspiron 1721 without this little mate.
ConsIt doesn't fit completely in the express card slot. but its very much manageable.

Title: Expresscard Remote Date: June 19, 2007
ProsThe product has worked for the task I purchased The card.
ConsThe only thing that i am not to particularly happy with is the fact that the card does not sit in the notebook slot flush. i have not had a problem with the card sticking out of the slot, but it seems as if the potential is there for either damaging the card or notebook because of the card not being completely flush with the notebook case.

Title: Very useful feature Date: April 2, 2007
ProsThe remote setup worked fine for me right out of the box. I really could have used this baby during my senior project in college recently. It would have been great for reviewing our group PowerPoint presentation with my four other group members. We could have all sat toward on end of a table while I remotely opperated my laptop in order for us to get the full effect of the presentation. The wow factor and the practical usefulness would have been great!
ConsThe only con I can see is a minor one. The remote could have been slightly larger. This would have made it more comfortable in my hand but that's only subjective criticism. All in all - very nice.

Title: Always Handy to control my DVDs, Music, PowerPoint Date: March 2, 2007
ProsThe remote has a nice weight and feel, the buttons have a reassuring snap, and I've had it working more than 2x the stated 30' range with no problem! This little beauty fits snugly in my PC, and is always charged and ready to go! I can control all my Windows media applications, and routinely use it to run my PowerPoint presentations... with our without a projector - it's nice to not have to be tethered to my PC so I can interact more with my audience. Some reviewers have complained that it protrudes from the slot, but it only sticks out a mere 3/8", and I don't find it to be a problem. In fact, I like that it is easy to grab, and I don't have to push a button to eject it! I leave it stored in the slot and toss my notebook into my carrying bag... I've been traveling with this for 4 months and no troubles at all. One would have to have an incredibly tight notebook case to not ba able to accommodate this remote while stored in the notebook's ExpressCard slot.
ConsIt would be nice if it also had a mini touchpad mouse, and a laser pointer.

Title: Good Idea, wrong size Date: January 8, 2007
ProsHas every feature that you would want for a presentation and not to hard to setup.
ConsDoes not fit in slot, poor design. Card is about 1/2 to long to fit in card slot and be safe to transport without causing possable damage.

Review:Product of this type should complement the PC, this does with it function but not the design.

Title: Average Remote Control Date: January 8, 2007
ProsEasy installation. No wires and good range.
ConsIt does not store into Express Card Slot as mentioned. It sticks out a small part and then we have to remove it before moving with the laptop.
If you have Windows Media Center with Dell Media Experience, maybe you will have some conflicts, and buttons will not respond correctly in some situations.

Review:If you want a small bluetooth Remote Control, and you do not need to move your laptop frequently, so get one.
But if your cellullar has bluetooth with Remote Control software installed, I think it is better.

Title: good but not great Date: November 29, 2006
ProsWow, this thing has range. It has come in handy at work when i step away from my laptop and i can just hear a song that should not be playing come on, I can easily push the mute or change to the next song
ConsIt does not Store in the Express Card Slot. It sticks out a 1/3rd of an inch. This is my only complaint, While you do not have to poiint the remote at the computer, the fact that it does not "store inside" the slot is what is disappointing. One more thing I have to keep in a separate compartment in my bag.

Review:Wait till shrink this remote to fit to the actual space of an ExpressCard slot, so you don't have store it separately everytime you want to move your laptop. If this doesn't bother you, definitely get the remote, I have been completely happy with it.
