Review:Pros: ...

Cons: Instructions were babble, the device didn't work and when we finally had it going the card had made the computer slower. This was after trying to get it to work. Finally tried to return it but we were a couple days too late and are now stuck with an expensive piece of scrap.

Review:I expect this card was good, back in its day. Obviously it's far from top of the line these days, though - and apparently very much so. I had it recommended to me by a customer service rep, when I asked what would work with my computer. My particular specifications for desires for a card would be to run the games Age of Conan and Mercenaries 2, neither of which my old card could run. As an example of how well this card serves the purposes I was told it would, it runs Age of Conan at somewhere from 5-15 FPS at minimum settings. Mercenaries 2 I haven't bothered checking the actual FPS for, but it's definitely unplayable.

If your desires aren't games, of course, then this card should serve fine. But then... why invest in a card that's this expensive if your not planning on playing games? If your desire IS to play games, then I recommend anything but this card. It's simply outdated and cannot run modern games, or even moderately dated games, at an acceptable level.

ProsEasy to install and set-up.
Easy to follow instructions.
Packaged with everything a normal user would need.
ConsUnit seems to be designed for computer monitor and analog TV use only. S-Video is 7 pin and can not be used with 4 pin HDTV input. DVI output is DVI-I Dual Link (Digital/Analog [RGB]) and most all HDTVs are DVI-D Dual Link (Digital).

Review:This card may not be designed to be used with a HDTV but is easily adapted and the picture quality is very good. If you are using this for gaming you will not be disappointed.
