ProsSolid product....could be considered by some as a bit heavy but for a full-sized Nikon SLR with battery back it more than does the job. I can survive the extra weight even at my age...early 60's. Low price for such a great product.
ConsProduct has degree settings and an index mark on the head would be helpful. Still, maybe I am overlooking something. Product only has an index card sized manual....again, maybe I am making too much of a problem out of nothing!

Review:Had minor problem with connection thread (1/4X 20 X 3/8 not having enough threads to hold camera securely (in my opinion)....found mounting pad was a bit too thick.
Product is distributed by Tiffen and when I called Tiffen, not only did I get to speak to a technician, he provided his name and phone extension for further contact. Tiffen replaced quick-release plate with wrong one and quickly corrected that problem. I can't say enough "good" about product and Tiffen's handling of problem.
I'm not easily impressed with service these days but Tiffen (if they handle all problems/questions as thoroughly)needs to pat themselves on the back!

Title: awesome tripod Date: January 12, 2009
Prosamazing quality in this tripod, at this price. I got WAY more than I expected. I've worked with video tripods costing several hundred more that weren't this good. Seriously, I am VERY impressed, and recommend it highly.
ConsCan't imagine anyone having a problem with this tripod at this price.

Title: Very stable/sturdy tripod... Date: March 22, 2008
ProsExcellent value..
ConsNot the lightest but if you want a stable one who cares?

Review:Decided to purchase this Magnum X3T over the Slik Pro 330 DX and Manfrotto 725B($40 more!) and the feature/quality of this DS Magnum X3T is far worth more. The best $79 tripod out there..it even comes with its own bag. Thanks to the other 4 reviewers here who helped me on this..Regards..

Title: Exceptional Quality and Features Date: March 3, 2008
ProsBecause of the low price, I read several reviews from others who had purchased this tripod. I have had the tripod about a month and have used it indoors and outdoors. It is well worth the additional weight. Sturdy metal construction, precise settings, foam grips at the top of each leg, well designed/constructed carry bag, and maximum camera height -- everything I need. An amazing product for $79.95!
ConsNone

Title: Excellent Build Quality, Sturdy, & Durable Date: January 6, 2007
ProsThe unit is constructed of very high-grade materials and is easy to set up and use. Stroboframe feature is definitely well designed and implemented on the unit. Although the unit is heavier than other similar tripods, it is far superior in workmanship and engineering.

Review:The cost-benefit ratio exceeds most all other similar products on the market.
