ProsThese speakers give great sound and response. I did not find the cables short as others did, but if my area was larger I could see how that could be a issue. I believe that the cable legnth is not that different form others sets. Easy to install and the remote is nice, wireless would have been better but I dont think it is really needed. You can control all aspects of the speakers from this remote, which is a nice improvement over my old ones where I had to reach behind the subwoffer to change its level.

ProsThese speakers are packed with very great sound, and exceptional amount of sound and a lot of bass. The first time I tried them was when I was watching "300", and the walls were shaking. The best part of the whole deal was the price. These are the best speakers on the market in their class of watts, that offer the best price for speakers that are THX certified, and have a peak power of about 500 watts. The money which I paid was very well spent. (I paid $145 from Dell.com when I got 15% off, and free shipping)

Review:If you want to take the sound a step high, try out the Logitech Z-5500, which are 505 watts, and have a peak power of 1,080 watts. The sub-woofer is incredible, and double the size of the Z-5300e's. The volume control is 100X more "technological," as oppose to the Z-5300e, however, the Z-5500 will cost you about $100 more. ALSO, if the volume control is a drawback for you on these speakers, be assured, it is great. It was one of my major considerations when it came to which speakers I was going to buy, however, the volume control is not as bad as I thought it would be- it is great.

Review:I bought this for my gaming rig. Amazing sound. Games/music/movies, whatever it is it sounds good. The connectors are just standard composite audio so you should be able to go pick up extensions for cheap. I think it cost me 20$ for extensions for 4 speakers. The extnesions are NOT needed for the majority, I'm just very picky on how I run my cables. You might need them though for the two rear channels if you're going to wire them on the other side of the room up high on the wall. Especially if you run them properly.

ConsWere they kidding with the length of all the wires--give me a break! All the wires could (SHOULD) be lengthened quite a bit...You'd have to sit on your monitor to get the surround sound they are talking about.

Review:Lengthen the wires and allow for more mid-ranges and you are truly on to something with this system!

ProsSpeakers are awesome for my music and my gaming. Rock the puter room.
Conswish the remote was wireless, but works anyways, the corded remote is long enough to sit next to me on my desk.

Review:subwoofer is big so make sure you have some room.. all the speakers have removable covers to match most decor.
