ProsGreat sound! These speakers have tremendous bass and clear midrange. They are good enough that the are the only speakers you need to listen to music. The dual inputs allow you to connect your ipod (or any MP3 player that uses a headphone jack) as well as your PC.
ConsDIN connector is junk. I have broken it off just by moving the speaker against the wall under the desk. I actually found a repair service on eBay that has a listing just to fix the Promedia speakers. So, you know it is a poor design. To prevent it from happening again, I bought a PS2 keyboard extension cable (same DIN connectors) on eBay and use it between the sub and the speaker cable. That way, if it gets broken, I can just buy another extension cable and not have to fix the speaker.

Prosbest sounding speakers i have listened to in a longtime. i was going to purchase the bose dock for my ipod but this system blows them right out of the water. thank s listen to my speakers every day.

ProsThis system has great sound. The 2-way satellites are crisp and clear, and the subwoofer really packs a punch. And that's just at the subwoofer's quarter volume setting. I like to listen to Pipe Organ music, and these speakers really do justice to the world's most powerful, and majestic musical instrument. It rumbles the floor, and walls, on certain pieces of music that use the bass pedals. When playing DVD movies, it does equally well. This may vary on your systems, depending on your soundcard. Mine is a THX certified Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS, which makes for a great combination, This is the system you might want to consider buying. These speakers do cost a little more than others, but are well worth it. Especially, when you think about the money being wasted on the $50 bargain systems that look good, and sound good for only a short time. I know, because I been there, and done that! I wish I would've seen these before, and had the money to buy them. But, now I finally have them, and I truly enjoy them every time I listen to them. Moneywise, these are definitely worth going the extra mile for. I'm glad I did! The only reason I gave it 4 stars for quality is: that one of the satellite speaker stands was slighty bent. But I contacted Klipsch (who was very prompt in responding) and they are sending a new stand under the warranty. Great service from Klipsch made me feel comfortable about purchasing this product!

Review:If you've had the chance to read any of the reveiws for these speakers on other websites, you will probably run across a few complaints about the DIN plug that connects the control pod to the subwoofer, breaking off. To help prevent this from happening (this is my theory), make sure that you leave enough clearance between the wall (or other object) and the subwoofer. That way, you will not be placing any strain on the plug, or cord.

ProsClean, crisp performance, high quality of the oldest American speaker manufacturer, superior sound projection, highest acoustic output of any speaker in the "desktop speaker" . Fantastic dynamic range and clarity, THX certified. Capable of 106db/SPL continous, making them the highest output and most dynamic range of any "desktop" speaker system. They are superior sound to many bookshelf and sub/satelitte systems costing hundreds of dollars more. these speakers were made by a premium American speaker company, not a company that branched out from making mouses.

As a movie lover, I own two pair and drive them with the SB X-Fi Xtreme Audio card in a 4.2 configuration. This system rocks, many of my friends prefer coming to my home to watch a DVD because of this audio system and because I have a Dell widescreen monitor with this sound system. The sound quality is truly amazing, if you really want a great multimedia experience from your computer go with one or two pair of these and one of the SB X-Fi sound cards.
By the way, these sound great with just music as well, I am no musician, but I understand loud, robust and clear.

ConsPower switch located in the back of the subwoofer. Bass can be overwhelming when you really crank them, which can really upset the neighbors. this system will rattle furniture.

Review:Klipsch support comes through US technicians and these speakers sound like many other speakers in the klipsch family, clear, powerfull and fantastic. I have friends who have paid far more for other brand name home theatre systems and they are blown away by this inexpensive little 4.2 configuration I've got.

ProsEasy set-up, fantastic sound. I am using these with a laptop (Dell Inspiron E1505), as I was tired of the tinny sound from the laptop's internal speakers, and these are the best computer speakers I have ever used or owned. Comparable to my home stereo loudspeakers.
ConsMinor: power on/off switch is on the back of the sub unit (which you will typically have stashed under your desk or otherwise out of the way) so, if you want to switch them on & off with regularity, place the sub within reach, or, buy an extension cord that has an on/off switch built in.

ProsSound is excellent. Bass is it's best part. The bass is crisp, clear, soft, extremely well shaped, warm but sharp at the same time. This bass sounds close to $6,000 speakers. The highs are really good as well. very well designed. Very powerful, your parents will hate your for these get real loud. Highly recommended if you are looking for the best. But if you are worried about cost, don't get these.

ProsI wasn't sure which speakers I wanted to get, so I did some researh ( I wanted to get the best as to what i can afford ) So I went around the stores to listen to some media speaker. There were three that were really good and stand out as the best. The problem though was their prices, 250.00 or more. So I decided to shop at Dell. To my surprise they had Klipsch Promedia 2.1 at a very affordable price. I ordered them, and when they arrived I was blown away after hooking them up. The music and movie jumped right at me. Thanks Dell I enjoy these more then I expected.
ConsJust one which I forgot to mention but was no big deal The main control speaker was defected but was resolved right away. Thanks again Dell for fast service
