Title: Not recommended for gaming Date: April 2, 2009
ProsThe computer was great for graphics and design. Watching movies, running an at home business seemed to go quite smoothly without any problems
ConsI do not recommend this computer at all for gaming. I played World of Warcraft for about a year on it and it was too much for the processor to handle and overheated constantly, shutting off every 30 minutes or so. Seemed I was in a never ending battle to keep the laptop alive. After 1 year and one month it hit its last straw and fried the motherboard. Now I'm in the market for a new computer. Great for everything else, but not recommended for gaming.

Title: Great Value Date: April 1, 2009
ProsI've had my new XPS M1530 for a couple of weeks now and I'm truely impressed. My previous Dell was 3 years old and it was time to enjoy the many advances in techology and operating systems. My XPS Dell is fast, Windows Vista works great and I'm looking forward to another 3 years of trouble-free operations.
ConsNone!

ConsThe only thing I would change on this system would be the speakers. My old laptop had much better speakers built in, and I wish that this one had the same ones. But this is a very minor issue and would not affect me from purchasing this again.

Title: Don't Regret the Change Date: April 1, 2009
ProsMy third laptop.. all others were by a premiere name manufacturer. Light, fast enough for most applications, can add software and hardware effortlessly. Decided on Dell for this change after using one at work and don't regret it. Good design and keyboard " feel"
ConsWhy are there three IE icons on the desktop ? IE periodically just stops running.

Title: Very Happy with my XPS 1530! Date: March 16, 2009
ProsThe keys are easy to see, even without a backlit or lighted keyboard, during low light situations because the the light from the screen is reflected well by the silver colored keys.
ConsActivity light is below keyboard and hard to see. It should be above the keyboard and in plain sight.
I find it kind of awkward whenever I open the laptop. Even though there are no latches it's still fairly difficult to open.

Title: The Best Laptop EVER! Date: March 16, 2009
ProsMy husband is a system administrator and chose this laptop for my 15 year old. She plays a lot of pc games and wants to start using it for designing. It does keep up with her and she now doesn’t use her desktop unless she has friends over. I did upgrade the screen and a few other options including the accidental damage and theft protection since she is a teenager. Some people feel I spent too much on it, but you get what you pay for and I wanted to get something that would not be outdated as soon as she opened the box. She is starting her own business so it will pay for itself! My husband is VERY impressed with the Intel Core 2 Duo Processor. She is not allowed to plug it in without the Belkin 2-Outlet Travel Surge Protector though.
ConsIt doesn't come in a design that she was interested in.
