ProsGreat looking picture. I really like the web cam, 4 USB ports and the size of the screen. The two microophones are great, I could pick up my voice speaking normally across the room.
ConsColor has to be adjusted right out of the box to see the texts and more and the default setting of 1680X1080 had to be manually adjusted. The monitor is not height adjustable.

ProsSimply the best screen I have seen to date. Sleek, stylish and full of surprises. I bring people into my messy house and all they notice is the gleam of the gray frame reflecting off of the shiny black screen.
ConsThe only Con is that I didn't get a quad core to go along with it. This screen is so nice it makes me wish I had the 3ghz quad core to play Gears of War on. My dual core does wonders but with a quad I would be in heaven.

Review:The only thing that could have made this purchase better would have been for Dell to send a 24 inch screen of the same quality instead. Thank a million Dell.

ProsSlick look, very modern, it stands out. Camera is great ! and love the USB ports and outputs in the rear and sides. Price is great and quality is up there...don't miss out great buy....well for the 250 price i paid.

ProsI suspect that I am one of the few whose primary use for this LCD is as a TV, and so I cannot fairly dispute the comments about its performance as a monitor. In using it a handful of times as an external monitor connected to my laptop, its performance proved more than capable, and I did not share the grave concerns about text readability that other users had.
I will say that its incredible versatility makes it a winner--having HDMI and DVI inputs is a blessing, and the analog VGA connection, though unused by me, is appreciated as well. I have a HD-DVR cable box connected via HDMI and an up-converting DVD player connected via DVI, and the picture quality is quite nice with both devices. Few artifacts and relatively good contrast ratio, and from a purely aesthetic standpoint, I like that the silver bezel and black stand nicely match the silver Pioneer DVD player, silver Motorola HD-DVR, and the Logitech Z5500 control unit that I am using for surround sound. All told, this is a device that, at the $239 price point I took advantage of, qualifies as an absolute steal. At the $299 price point I see today, it's still a pretty good buy, although not worthy of the five-star rating I am giving it for the cost-benefit category. In short, grab this if it's available for $250 or less. (I should also mention that the integrated web cam/microphone is a nice little perk.)
ConsI would have liked a simple remote control for the purpose of switching inputs or adjusting the image settings. Given that I am using the SP2208WFP as a television monitor, I wanted to be able to control the device with my Logitech Harmony 880. As far as picture quality, you might find more consistent performance and wider viewer angles in competing products, but you will assuredly pay a premium for those enhancements. The black stand isn't particularly functional, as it doesn't allow for height adjustment or horizontal swivel.

Review:This is a very good LCD monitor, with all the right specs as far as response time and contrast ratio are concerned. I think it's an ideal solution for a medium-sized home office, but as someone who is using it as a TV in a master bedroom, I'm admittedly speculating on that point. The bottom line is that you probably won't find a more functional monitor at this price, and any performance issues can probably be addressed with some tweaking. The build quality is predictably Dell--sturdy and subtly elegant--and the features are unmatched. You won't go wrong with this monitor at all.

ProsI bought this monitor thinking my brand new video card had a HD connection, but even using the old analog connection the graphics are great. I bought this for myself and a similar more expensive name brand for my brother for Christmas. And for some reason even with the HD connection mine looks much better. And for the price you cannot find a name brand like this around anywhere, not even on sale.
ConsIt comes with a camera. I have yet to use it and I am not sure I ever will.

ProsI love the crispy clear picture and the web cam resolution is awesome. The built in mic is picking up voice really well for video conferencing. Nice 2 different USB locations for convenience. Great value over all.
ConsIt is not adjustable in height.
