ProsThis monitor is the best, I love the widescreen and improved look of my desk now. It took a week or so to get used to this screen which is glossy in comparison with my previous Dell monitor which was flat and dull. I liked that monitor as well, this one is exceptional though. Plenty of features all of which I enjoy. Very nice monitor and it keeps my faith in products that Dell sells, they keep me coming back as a customer with products like this. ConsNone that I can say.

ProsWith a fast 2ms response time and HD capabilities up to 1080p, you really cannot go wrong with this bad boy. The screen is glossy so the color is very crisp and clear. Hook this up to any hdmi source and get ready for a visual experience like no other. USB hubs and camera are a bonus if you use them. ConsThe stand is not height adjustable.
Review:For the price, this 22" HD LCD display is definetly worth every penny.

Pros- Inexpensive compared to other 22" flat panels - Built-in webcam/mic saves space and is of decent quality - Glossy screen is growing on me - Photos do look amazing - Lots of retail space...goes without saying Cons- Struggling with the color settings - Color is only consistent if you are staring at the thing straight on (luckily it's not a HUGE issue for me as I have a corner desk, but would probably be a concern to others) - The text is in fact problematic - Slight backlight bleeding around the edges evident when viewing a black/dark screen (for instance I noticed this when the default Vista screensaver came up)
Review:I'm very torn over this monitor. Prior to this I had an economy line 19" flat panel (not widescreen)--also made by Dell. While I don't have the two side-by-side, I can say with certainty that it displayed colors much more accurately and consistently. I am a graphic designer, and I just purchased this monitor with a new XPS 420 so I could do more freelance work from home. It's not going to inhibit me from getting my work done, but I am admittedly a little hung-up on the text situation. I researched the issue a little bit and have found that it may also have something to do with Vista itself (I'll save the woes of Vista for another posting). I've also read that the Ultrasharp version of this monitor is pretty much the exact same thing, minus the webcam and glossiness, with a much better stand--which is why I chose this over the Ultrasharp. Thus, I'm not convinced that exchanging them would serve much of a purpose, and unfortunately the 24" models are out of my price range. I really don't want to scale down to 20" either. Most people might not notice the slightly jagged text, but I'm a tiny bit obsessive about these things. I have the sharpness down to 25%, which helps a little, but doesn't really solve the problem. The good news (for me) is that it's most evident in surfing the web--text in Adobe software looks somewhat better. As for the backlight bleeding, it's not a big deal, as it's minimal (seems like a larger problem with the Ultrasharp). Ultimately, for the price this is a pretty good monitor, but if the funds were there, I would most certainly upgrade to a non-TN panel, such as one of the 24" models.

Title: great monitor, bunch of features... 22' just right

Prosversatile. Great to have so many options. VGA, DVI input, as well as HDMI. Microphone, webcam, 4 usb, and audio out. Auto-off feature works great, I assume it saves power and lifespan of monitor 22''... wow. you will be amazed at the size if you are upgrading from a 19' 4:3 aspect ratio. And don't think 22' is too big. Perfect size. Not too big at 2 feet, and big enough for movies from 10 feet. Microphone works better than expected ConsText is usually normal (98%). Sometimes I come across a webpage with some random font which looks grainy. I am using VGA input, and I have read DVI fixes this

ProsFor the price i am pretty impressed of the image quality and the features of this monitor. the webcam has pretty good picture and the mics are good as well. I love the usb ports at the side of the monitor and the HDMI input is great for my PS3 and Xbox 360. the 2 ms respond time is amazing for games and HD movies. I have to say I will always trust DELL A++++ ConsThis monitor should have a swivel because I have to connect my video cables at the back and I always have to move my monitor, its started to bug me alot. either than that amazing monitor

ProsExcellent picture right out of the box. Crisp with excellent color balance. All presets were perfect. I did not have to make any adjustments at all. Camera appears to be wide angle and was easy to set up. Monitor came with DVI cable which is unusual for this type of monitor and a real bonus as far as i was concerned. I thought i was going to have to go to the electronics store to get one. All the way around and excellent buy and I am very pleased. ConsAdjustable height as mentioned before but not enough of an issue for me to downgrade this monitor. The height is actually just right for me.

ProsNice look, USB ports, available speaker bar ConsI had to return this monitor after spending days updating drivers, altering the text of windows components, etc. and could not get the text clear. I don't know if it's a Vista issue.... I have a brand new XPS 630 with a very high quality graphics card and the resolution was horrible even at the max possible with the monitor.

ProsNice looking, rich bright colors, good contrast. The built in WebCam as well as Mics and USB hub is only gravy. Excellent response time is good for watching HDTV broadcasts Everything I view just looks better. VGA, DVI and HDMI inputs. . ConsAdjustable height would have been nice but not necessary.
Review:I pondered between an HP 22" flipable monitor and this Dell. Had a rotatable once before and hardly every used that feature. Thought the Cam, Mics and hub was better trade off. Dell's 3yr warrantee was a seller.

ProsI have had this for 2 months and I love it. I bought it when it was on sale. I want a second one but its not on sale and its now a hundred bucks more :) Maybe they will bring it back.

ProsHave been using this for about 2 months now. Great, clear, sharp picture. Text looks great. Minor adjustment made to settings. Helps to put RGB all the way up. Hooked up to my Dell XPS420 via DVI. Stand was very easy to put in. No need for screws. Snaps right in. Very slim and sleek. Was afraid a 22" widescreen would be too big for my "dorm" room desk, but fits nicely, with room to spare. Webcam works fine. However some software problems. Will explain below. Extra 2 USB ports very useful! Dont have to go down to my computer to use a USB port. ConsWebcam - when trying to record video, it doesn't work. Software issues i am thinking. Always gives me an error whenever i try to record. I'm using Vista, is it not compatible? But using it on MSN or AIM works fine. Mic picks up clearly. *** HDMI - tried hooking that to my computer, since i have an adaptor. Would not work. Spent over 30 minutes to figure that HDMI wasn't going to work. DVI does though. Haven't tried hooking it up to my PS3 yet. *** Access to the monitor inputs hard to get to at first. Hard to screw in DVI and HDMI, but once it goes in, it's good. *** Wish it came in black and not silver. To match my black LCD tv next to it. Oh well. *** Glossy - nice finish, but during sunny days you get some reflection. Can't solve this. But glossy does add a very nice and sharp picture.
Review:Overall, very please with this monitor. My first Dell monitor. Price is very resonable, when i got it on sale. Use it to the maximum resolution to get the best looking picture.

ProsI use a Dell 24 inch Ultrasharp WFP at work but this is my first WFP for home use. I have owned it now for almost a month and find it to be a great all around monitor.
I read several reviews of this monitor and was a little concerned about giving it a try but I am very glad that I did. After a little fine tuning to set color and brightness, the monitor provides clear text and vivid colors. I use the monior for navigating the web, writing text documents and spreadsheets. This monitor also provides fantastic sharp images and colors for watching DVDs and viewing digital photos.
I highly recommend this monitor. ConsThe only negative that I have with this monitor is that you can't adjust the height and this is a minor inconvenience but the reason I didn't give it a 5 on features and design.

ProsThis is a great widescreen display. I also think Dell was listening to the other reviews when it came to its default settings. I hooked up the display w/ DVI cable, adjusted display setting to 1680x1050 and BaM! I'm cruisin' great with this product! ProsI love this product. Before purchasing I reviewed users reviews on several websites. Basically they were all the same. The most common comments were...."Simple to install and adjustments needed to made adjust the picture quality" Everyone's comments were right on the money. Dell must have heard you too because some of the recommended settings were preset. I only had to make minor adjustments. This is a great monitor for me. Just received it yesterday and I'm in heaven. For the money this was a pretty good deal. ConsSame as others...the stand that the monitor sits on doesn't give you the ability to easily manipulate the monitor. However, I knew this before I purchased and it wasn't an issue then and still does not bother me to much.

ProsI had read the reviews pertaining this monitor. I was not exactly sure that I had made the right choice when ordering. Figured I would give it a try anyway. Some say that you need to adjust the color levels. I did not have to. This monitor is excellent I have found nothing wrong with it. It is very large if you are used to a 19". Im not sure if some of the problems that other people have had maybe due to there video card. everything is clear not hard to read at all. ConsNONE

Title: Super Quality w/ fine Digital Resolution

ProsThis is being used with a Mac mini 1.83GHz Intel Core 2 Duo w/ 1GB memory and is connected directly to the built in DVI port. This display produces a superb image. Some reviews have been critical of an overly bright image or the quality of text reproduction neither of which seemed to be issues with the native digital Mac mini. In fact most comments I have received from casual observers comment on how good things look. The design is especially striking and and actually complements the mini quite nicely. The camera and the built in mic. have worked well right after setup. Although none of the Dell product literature states they are supported in the Mac platform, they seemed to work fine with no apparent o.s. conflict issues. So in conclusion any Mac person agonizing over whether or not to buy a Dell display rest assured you will be more than pleased with this one. ConsNone noted
