1908WFP Widescreen LCD Monitor

Pros:The monitor picture is really good. I like the base design both in looks and function. The complete monitor has a quality look and feel about it. This is the second LCD monitor that I have purchased from DELL. The first has been in use on my other computer for over a year.

Nice design. Good Quality

Pros:Very nicely designed monitor. Flexible stand and excellent height/angle adjustments. Really pleased with rotation ability, although cables get a bit caught up when going to vertical mode. Convenient USB slots. Good, if not fabulous image quality. I have a 22 inch monitor that I use at events, but it is overpowering on my desk. This 19 inch fits well. I also use my Latitude laptop that is the PC "behind" the monitor as an expanded desktop to keep control panels and applets open also. Fast shipment.
Cons:A bit pricely for a 19 inch, but I credit that to the rotation ability and above average stand

Very pleasant monitor

Pros:Great features...particularly the portrait mode capability and the height adjustability.

Just bought my second one

Pros:I have been using one of these monitors for about a year and loved it. After finishing my recent build, I decided to buy another and have not regretted it. These things are strong, accurate, and have a great stand and a usb hub, what more could you want.
Cons:I would have said price, as I paid $230+ for my first one, but I jumped on the recent $165 deal. This is a great monitor even for the more expensive price but at less than $175, it can't be beat.

Great product.

Pros:Quality is great. Sturdy construction, stable mount and excellent detail. Clarity is top notch if you have the video card and proper connections. If you use a low quality video card and use the vga port don't bother with and ultrasharp. This is my primary screen with a standard 19 inch widescreen as the secondary and you can defiantly tell the difference. The blacks are black and the whites are white so you don't get the constant gray background when you are working on dark graphics.
Cons:Now I want to replace the other one plus get 2 more for my home office.
Review:Like I said if you are not going to use a high end graphics card and dvi source do not even bother. If the computer can't put out high quality graphics then you are not going to get high quality graphics no matter what screen you use.

It's ok, but it can be better!

Pros:Height Adjustment, good menu controls.
Cons:Font text not sharp at all. Can see pixels.
Review:It's interesting in contrast, that I would purchase and "Ultra-Sharp" monitor and nothiing is sharp about it except for design. Fonts are poor, and I really don't want to notice the pixels. In comparison to say a Hp glossy finish monitors, they are far superior to dells. If the Glossy monitor had an adjustable stand from dell, then I would've bought that instead.

Cool monitor - Bad Image

Pros:Adjustibility, style, USB ports. Image looks great for TV or games.
Cons:Very poor image quality for desktop applications. Very poor viewing angles. Bands of color hues across the screen. Whites are pink, black are blue.
Review:I bought this monitor to replace a 4 year old 17" Dell LCD. I have since returned this monitor as it is unusable for desktop applications. There are bands of color hues up and down the screen that are bothersome and very hard on my eyes. There is no true white or black for this monitor. After more research I discovered this monitor to use TN technology whereas my old monitor used PVA technology... I'm sticking with my old monitor.

Landscape is better

Pros:The monitor was easy to assemble. The monitor was also well within my price range. The height adjustment is a very nice feature. When moving and rotating the display, the motion feels solid. The display menu is easy to navigate and offers a good selection of settings to access for adjustment.
Cons:Portrait mode has limited viewing angles. Looking directly at the display, the picture is good. It is once you view the display at an angle (side-to-side) that the picture quality diminishes. In Landscape mode, the viewing angles are much better.    There was also a driver issue when I first powered up the monitor. Without too much effort, I was able to get the monitor to work. This is surprising though. I am replacing an older Dell LCD that finally gave up the ghost after years of use. I am also connecting this monitor to a Dell PC that is a little more than one year old and running Windows XP.
Review:When purchasing this monitor; go into it knowing that, many times you get what you pay for. If you are looking for a high-end graphics display, try other monitors. I wanted an inexpensive LCD that would provide good picture quality. I believe I have found that with this monitor.
I play around with advanced graphics software and I enjoy playing FPS games. I have a SLI system and high-end monitor for these things. This monitor was purchased for a PC that is used for web browsing as well as basic graphics and document creation. This monitor handles these tasks well enough.
I did load F.E.A.R. to see how it would look on this display. I also wanted to add this information to the review. While the cut-scenes looked alright, actually game play does not stack up against more expensive displays.
Fonts are a little fuzzy and true colors are hard to obtain. With some minor adjustments though, you can get pretty close. I cannot list these things as ‘Cons’ because I knew going into this purchase what I should expect.
This is my third Dell LCD. Each generation has shown improvement. The last two displays held on much longer than I expected. I was able to get more than my money’s worth from them. I can only hope that I have the same good fortune with this monitor. I also hope to see continued development and improvement of Dell displays. I purchase my high-end monitors from other manufacturers. I have to say though; Dell has been making up ground.
