Tilt adjusts to picture good and clear top to bottom & side to side, but there is not a wide range. Someone looking over your shoulder or beside you will see a faded screen

Review:I have used this monitor for a few months. I had bought another brand because it was highly recommended and people had complained about the quality of the Dell monitors. The other brand monitor's software crashed my computer even though my computer met all the stated requirements. Even before it crashed my computer, all fonts were blurry. I returned that computer and tried the Dell. I am very happy with the Dell. No dead or fixed pixels. Other moniors run some electricity even when turned off. The Dell is really off when you turn it off. I use my computer at home for all communication, so it is important to have clear, sharp fonts. But I also play games. I have been completely satisfied with the Dell. I am not a graphic artist and do not run more than one computer, so I do not need to worry about fine tuning the colors. I had been waiting for a 22" widescreen monitor to come along with USB ports at a reasonable price. This is it. And if you get it on sale like I did, you'll get a monitor that meets all basic computing needs with the extras of a monitor twice the price.

ProsThe screen is large and text is very sharp. I did have to lower the brightness a bit, but the user controls are good. The adjustable stand is great and the USB ports are very useful. . I like that the screen is matte, not glossy, so that overhead lighting does not have reflections. There were no dead pixels.
ConsThere is some backlight bleed, but for my home use, this is not a big deal

-Doesn't take up that much space depth-wise on a desk. The stand has a small footprint that makes it easy to place.

Cons-There is a nasty color bleed of over three inches on the sides when the screen is showing something dark.
-Text can come out quite pixelated even at a low res.

Review:-it might be nice to have another video input such as RCA or s-video.
-the pixel patch could be smaller but that would make it more expensive. A small trade off.
overall a good monitor thats great for the money. The large size allows it to be seen from a distance, but in the dark areas the color bleed can be frustrating. I would like to give it a 3.5 overall, but I gave it the benefit of the doubt and rated it a 4.

ProsI wondered if this monitor was over the top and too much. Absolutely NOT. This is an excellent monitor even if it was expensive which it is not. At this price - you can't beat it. Easy to install for both laptops. 1st system uses XP Pro and 2nd system uses Win Vista and both used the monitor immediately with no configuration.

ProsOutstanding case and stand design, especially the adjustable features of the stand. All very sturdy and sharp looking. Good packaging and fast delivery.
The 22” widescreen format is stunning for photos and games and very functional for working with multiple documents. Outstanding picture quality . . . but a LOT of work to get it there. Initial “plug and play” picture quality is not good.
ConsOut of the box the display is way too bright with washed out color at the edges and especially at the bottom almost like the white backlights are too close to the screen. Attempts to adjust using the display’s on screen display/built in controls were frustrating and not successful to the point of almost putting it back in the box for return. Finally tried the adjustment tools with my graphics card for color/gamma, brightness, contrast, sharpness, etc. and within 10-15 min got to a beautiful picture. The 22” widescreen format is hard to get used to initially with things either stretched out/distorted or too small when you go to the new higher resolution. It’s taking a lot of time and adjustments to get to a comfortable format. One reason for buying the larger widescreen was so that things are bigger and easier on the eyes . . . not necessarily true!

ProsVery sharp. I do digital retouch and have been hesitant to use a LCD monitor but have been delighted with the sharpness and color on all 3 of these we have in the retouching department. Lots of USB connections if you want to connect on your desk with external devices but do not want to hook up to your computer directly.

ProsGreat size, good stand, great price.
ConsTerrible color. Reds are almost fluorescent, no matter how you adjust it. But even worse, there is a dramatic color shift across the screen, more red at the top and more green at the bottom.

Review:I have an old 19" Dell monitor (on another computer) that is so far superior to this monitor I cannot compare them. What went wrong Dell?

ProsVery Vibrant colors, Case design is very cool. And its a darn good price.
-Unless your a graphics professional, youll probably be ok.
ConsIf you are looking DEAD ON at this monitor, then its pretty darn good. But if you glance to the TOP... the screen will be slightly darker.. if you glance DOWN.. it will be slightly Lighter. - If you make the screen BLACK.. you can see white ghosting on the edge of the whole screen.
- If your doing graphics of any kind, look elsewhere.

Review:I tried like HECK to like this monitor. I bought 2 of these things, and just LOVED the way they looked on my desk. But when I sat in front of them I couldnt ignore the color gradient that happens. If you are just surfing the web, and putzing around with games and whatnot.. youll probably be ok. But if you need to use this in any sort of graphics capacity, I would look elsewhere.
I am returning these to Costco where I bought them, and will probably purchase the UltraSharp 2407wfp-HC which everyone seems to love.
