Review:I wanted to replace my 19" UltraSharp monitor, and this does a phenomenal job. I wanted to go bigger, so I chose this. It was on sale, and the price was right. I hooked this up to my Dell desktop with my older 17" UltraSharp (the 19" is being used on another desktop) for a dual monitor setup. It is amazing. I love using these monitors, and the Dell UltraSharp class of monitors is unbelievable.

ProsThis grows on you; the brightness, and clarity, really grows positively on you; it's sitting right next to a DELL 19 (about 2 years old) and this one is so much brighter and better definitioin too.

Review:It's a wide piece of hardware; I got it because I got frustrated with a 19 regular, and having to move a web page over as I was reading something; and that was with a regular 19 inch, DELL; this one is so much brighter too; and don't have to move pages over.

ProsIt is sharp and bright. Good size for a lot of work.
ConsThe color is horrible. It is impossible to calibrate this monitor correctly. I have expensive calibration tools and there is just no way to get it accurate. The colors are always shifted. Reds look orange or skin tones look green. Pick your poison. If you are a photographer or work with graphics at all, this is NOT the monitor for you.

ProsThis monitor is awesome!! It's picture quality is great and you can change any settings that you want. I have two of these monitors and next week I am buying another.. Is there a reason for a third monitor? Yes, because they are beautiful monitors.
ConsThe only thing that I dont like about this monitor is that the USB ports on the side, don't come on the right side of the monitor, only the left.

Review:If you run more than two of these.. Be sure and get a good graphics card.

Cons-Minimal backlight bleeding at top and bottom of screen only visible on completely black screens
-Viewing angles not perfect but decent enough where it shouldn't bother you

Review:Many reviewers complain about washed out colors but if you have an advanced graphics card you won't have this issue. This is my first 22 inch monitor I've upgraded from a 2008FPW monitor which was getting too small for my needs. This monitor is great I am able to play my Xbox 360 without a problem and it looks excellent. HD movies also show up well on this monitor. If you want a Solid 22 inch monitor go for this one.

Review:I bough two (2) if these displays, big mistake! I will be more carefull in reading specs before buying.

Pros-The monitor installed without a problem right out of the box - max 20 minutes installation.
-The display is very sharp and crisp, and very fast
-The Colors for graphics seem accurate
-The USB ports on the monitor and the Webcam are nice options
ConsFirst, you must run at the max screen resolution or your graphics will be stretched in a horizontal direction, which can be very annoying. This is because this is a wide screen monitor and is problem for me because I have issues reading text when the resolution is small.

Second, and the biggest problem, is that at the max resolution the text in a black on white page (such as MS Word or most brower pages) has a very definite greenish color and does NOT display as black. The vertical strokes in letters like "T" and "E" also appear as emphasized. I tried correcting the problem with a Dell rep on-line but he was unable to help me. You might want to browse the Dell community forums searching for "SP2208WFP green text" to see that a number of users are having the same issue. There are some sophisticated tweaks suggested there that you can try - they helped me, but (1) a user shouldn't have to do them and (2) it's still not completely right.

Finally, there is an issue with things being reflected in the screen in certain lighting situations, as noted in other reviews.

Review:I have an old Dell UltraSharp and I have been very happy with it. I bought this monitor as a upgrade to Dell's latest and greatest offering expecting the same quality, and was really disappointed. Right now I don't know what to do - return it for another model or replace it with a different brand.

ProsGreat Image quality, easy to set up at max res. Looks like a million bucks on a nice desk and takes up hardly any room. The photo editing work I do requires great color balancing and this is easy to calibrate.
