Review:This monitor is a HUGE disapointment! I am an imaging professional and when color and contrast matter, this monitor is useless. The viewing angle is terrible...move half an inch up or down and the whole monitor will change in brightness. The color of this monitor is off too and presents a much more greenish hue than it should be. Dell uses a different interface on this monitor than other Dell monitors too thus making it very difficult to calibrate. Finally, it offers no other inputs like S-video or RCA (as it used to with it's UltraSharps).

I also have an UltraSharp 2007WFP and that is a FANTASTIC monitor with none of the issues that the 2009WFP presents.

Dell is obviously trying to sell cheaper monitors now to save money, but all it should tell anyone is to look elsewhere in the future.

Only con is no tv input or output capabilities so if you are thinking of using this model, there is more than 1.

ConsThis specific monitor blew me away ... with it's failure!!! Having used Dell monitors for years, I expected this "Ultra Sharp" to be of higher quality. I've attempted to call the sales dept. for an exchange (because it's within 30 days, and Tech Support refuses to help me), but their hours are pretty much impossible to accomodate my own work schedule.

Immediately upon setting this up, I noticed there was a Backlight bleed 2" from the lower left corner, and the bottom half was "washed out" and significantly lighter in the color hues as compared to the top. Grey appears very light on the bottom task bar, but very dark, almost BROWN, across the top of the screen. The text and fonts on the bottom of the screen are not tight, but appear very thin and choppy; yet, across the top the letters are very dark and appear as if they are DOUBLE BOLD. It is impossible to do any artistic work on this monitor, as the colors are not consistant and even from the top of the document or image to the bottom. There is at least a 6-10 shade difference in "color" or "contrast" from top to bottom. Maybe this is just a bad LCD panel, so I may give them the chance to resolve this problem with an exchange (IF ... I can get through to a sales rep, because, as I said earlier, it's within 30 days, and Tech Support REFUSES to help me). This monitor appears to have a cheaper backlight/panel config similar to Dell's low-end 22" WFP's. This is the THIRD 22" WFP that has exhibited this exact same symptomology. I just didn't extpect it from their "Ultrasharp" line of monitors. I'm extremely disappointed.

ConsTerrible image quality; significant color variation on images viewed straight on from top to bottom of image; Top of a white image will be white at the top and greenish at the bottom. Plain colored images will appear darker at the top and lighter at the bottom
