ProsI think the monitor is very good, but I can't honestly rate it because it is not compatible with my current computer (Dimension 4400).
ConsI cannot set the resolution to 1440 x 900. The video card in my computer is not compatible with this monitor.
Review:I'm hoping to receive a good offer on a Dell
computer to use with this monitor.

Review:My husband has a similar model & the picture & color quality looks nice on his with his gaming. I was excited about getting mine. Boy was I in for a major dissapointment. This is my first LCD monitor. I noticed that the colors look darker towards the top & get lighter on the way down. I got ahold of tech support & tried different settings, updating drivers & nothing helped. Dell sent me a 2nd monitor. Hooked it up & the color was a little better but you could still notice the colors being darker at the top. The 2nd one is going back & I ordered a different model. I mainly use my computer for pixel drawing in paint shop pro so I need to have great color quality. This monitor just does not cut it in that department. After doing some research, I realized I need a better monitor then this type. It is good for surfing the net, watching movies & playing games but if you need something for graphic design- a big NO.

ProsI was lucky to purchase this monitor on President's Day so I got it for $119.99 plus free shipping but I think it is still a bargain at the regular price. I have just a small amount of room for a monitor on my desk or I would have gone for a bigger screen. Then again, the bigger the screen the further back you need to be to be able to really read it easily. So I am more than happy with the 19".

ProsA delightful 19" monitor for the price!!
ConsA tad too bright for my tastes; and, of course, settings are cumbersome to modify.
Review:Although my XP-equipped cheapy Compaq suits my needs quite nicely, I was craving a desktop that operates on Vista--so I bought a another cheapy Compaq. Since I had always wanted one of their computers, I shopped Dell first; but, at the time I finally succumbed to my passion, Circuit City had a model that was $150 cheaper than a comparably-equipped Dell.
Naturally, for my new toy, I needed a new monitor; and, once again, shopping Dell's website first, I stumbled upon this 19" monitor for $119--with free shipping! A few months prior to this adventure, a 19" Acer had set me back over twice that amount; I didn't even waste my time checking the competition.
My parcel was delivered even faster than promised--and setting it up was a breeze; although, as I mentioned in the above "cons" box, the settings are ridiculously tedious to engineer. Perhaps that's the way it is with all monitors; at least that's been my experience with every one I've owned.
A minor little point, since it's this "settings" deal that's my only gripe with this monitor: although the accompanying CD loads the instructional manual on to the computer, you can't get the critical images and pictures to open up: you have to print a copy to view them, so you can figure out how to manipulate them to change the settings. Not a big deal!! And the quality, for the price, was a great deal!!

Review:I bought this after I have two HP W1907 one came with my HP desktop that was on clearence at Circuit City. I never liked it too much due to a wopple stand. But I did not think there was a better moniter at the time so for an event I bought a secound. I returned the HP W1907 because when I bumped into the table the moniter kept falling over. Then when my Grandpa needed a new computer, I suggested to him a Dell. I have a dell dimension 4550 and it still runs great, so I orered my Grandpa a Dell. We got the Dell Inspiron 530. He loves it. I love it. We also got a Dell SE198WFP Moniter with it. Opps I hit the table. The Moniter won't wobble. It has the same sized screen, but it won't wobble. I'm so grad we got this moniter. I sold my other HP W1907 and bought another Dell SE198WFP to go with my HP and one more for my older Dell. I love the little hole on the stand for the wires.
This moniter and Inspiron 530 are faboulus. I would reccomend this to a friend.

ProsThis monitor has a great picture and a sturdy stand. The last monitor I had had a cheap stand and it shook when someone walked in the room. This is by far the best monitor I have owned. And of course it is Dell quality, you can't go wrong. It is overall an exceptional monitor for the price.
ConsCan't reach a higher resolution than 1440x900 but it is good enough.
