Title: Great Screen Date: May 29, 2007
ProsGreat image quality (was not pink out of the box like others said), more desk space, got it for a great price with a 20% off coupon. Much easier on the eyes than the CRT I had before.
ConsDoes not swivel or have height adjustment like the higher end Dell panels.

Title: A great monitor Date: May 23, 2007
ProsEverything! The cost, design, performance, and quality are all superb. I doubt you will find a better 22 inch around than this one. For those who might think it's too big, think again. It really is not. You'll fall in love with it just as much as I have.
ConsIt does not make me breakfast. :)

Title: Best 22" LCD in Value for money Date: May 22, 2007
ProsThe E228WFP is a great value for its cost. The profile is small and frees up a lot of space on my desk. The LCD panel looks very good as well i.e stylish.

The image quality on the E228WFP is excellent albeit for a few issues with black in _some_ games. Overall the display is excellent for graphics work as well as gaming.
ConsThe only issue I had was with the color black in some games, notably Half Life 2. For the most part even in HL2 this issue is not noticeable and only appears if in a black room, there is a light source which is supposed to reflect off something else. And even then its not that noticeable.

Review:I would recommend this display to anyone looking for a good well priced LCD monitor.

Title: Great for viewing!! Date: May 22, 2007
ProsCan view several documents at once and easily go between them for inputting data.
Can set the resolution from 800 x 600 to 1680 x 1050, depending on your personal needs
Great clarity! and Beautiful Color Resolution.
More things visible on a single-height taskbar.
ConsWish it had the USB ports included on the side like my 17" monitor had - really liked that ease of access.
With the 1680 x 1050 resolution, it took a bit to get used to the smaller print size, but now that I am used to it, I like it.

Review:Great improvement in versatility.

Title: 22" widescreen flatpanel performs well Date: May 21, 2007
ProsMonitor has a bright, crisp image with no noticable weak spots or defective pixels. Picture is even across display. Small fonts are legible, and picture quality is very good whether it's email, excel, internet or video clips. No obvious defects, and even movies seem to show well without obvious blurring or ghosting. Monitor looks stylish with thin bezel and V-shaped stand.
ConsNo height adjustments or swivelling. Viewing angle is best straight on. Front panel controls are not always intuitive, and reading monitor guide is necessary. No quick preset display modes like some monitors (eg, Samsung has presets for movies, internet, games, etc). There is some bleeding along edges of monitor, but not excessive. Factory color setup is not perfect (at least not to me). As mentioned by others, monitor has a very slight slope down to left (needs an adjustment in manufacturing process!), but this is not bothersome.

Review:Good monitor. It is likely not quite good enough for people who do high intensity graphics and video processing (the 24" ultrasharp which we use at work is better). But as an everyday home monitor, it is very good and reasonably priced. I would recommend this to a friend.

Title: Excellent for Widescreen Gaming Date: May 20, 2007
ProsI use this monitor for word processing, web surfing, but mainly for gaming. I was most concerned about the gaming performance. My previous experience with LCDs was not positive, so I went back to CRTs. This is the first LCD I've purchased since then. I could not be happier. I've had this LCD for almost a month now, and I have not detected any ghosting. Works well with FPS such as counter strike, RTS such as Command and Conquer 3, and wonderful while playing Oblivion.
ConsThe only things I would like to have is an adjustable stand, and wider viewing angle. Since I don't game or watch DVDs from across the room this doesn't really affect me. Image quality won't be what graphic professionals would expect, but I also don't know graphic pros who would expect to pay $300 for a top quality graphics monitor.

Review:Buy it

Title: Great! Date: May 20, 2007
ProsEverything is great, however, its quite bright after swapping from a CRT! :)
ConsNone!

Review:I'm a graphics designer and I've been using CRTs and was a little unsure about swapping over to a wide screen monitor. CRTs are supposed to be better than LCD at graphics design and I swapped and I'm amazed at how great this monitor is! Its great at gaming, DVDs, Graphics, oh, and you can view documents and things side-by-side. Great choice!

Title: E228WFP Unbeatable Value Date: May 19, 2007
ProsFor the price there is not a better LCD on the market.
Image quality is very good.
Digital and analog input - reasonable for price.
Good on screen controls and easy to use menu
ConsThe backlights are visible on the top and bottom 1/8" or so of the LCD on very dark images. you won't notice this the vast majority of the time.
Stand is cheap - only up down tilt control. No height adjustability or L/R tilt.
No USB ports

Review:Dell has done an excellent job on this LCD. It is definately not the equal of an UltraSharp model, but the compromises that have been made to get it to this price point are very reasonable. If you don't want to spend the money on a 2407WFP this is an excellent alternative. I prefer this monitor to the 19" Ultrasharp I use at work due to the extra screen size. Excellent buy.

Title: Bigger Is Better Date: May 18, 2007
ProsI have used the E22WFP for about 5 weeks and to date have not found any flaws, the design is modern, very well thought out,the picture is better than I had hoped.I wasn't planning on going bigger than my current 17 inch Dell, but a price break changed my mine in an instant. Its not to hard to see that Dell has won me over,2 computers and printers,aDell Pocket DJ,a 37 inch LCD and a couple of monitors,a Dell customer forever.A++++
ConsNone at this time.

Title: Great product, great price Date: May 18, 2007
ProsIt's clear, it's bright, it's w i d e, it has a fast refresh rate, it will change how you do your work. It's seriously cheap. If, in particular, you do your work on a laptop and need an external monitor, get this one.
ConsIf I remember rightly. you may have to download a driver from the Dell site with some computers, which is no big deal, but that's as close to a con as I can come up with.

Review:I haven't tried it for gaming at all, so perhaps I haven't pushed it as far as it needs to be properly tested. 5 ms refresh rate is pretty good though, and the pixel count is nice.
Haven't been able to try out the HD connection, since my laptop isn't equipped for such.

Title: Holy Hugeness Batman Date: May 18, 2007
ProsAn amazingly large and bright 22" display, 5ms response time, great resolution, quick power on.
ConsBezel is kind of deep, a good quarter inche from the top of the bezel to the face of the screen. Only 1 way to adjust monitor, viewing angle.

Review:You would not believe how much those 1.9 inches more make this huge! I have two 20.1" Dell widescreen monitor at home and this 22" in the office. It's so much bigger it's almost hard to believe that it's only 1.9 inches bigger. The only thing I dont like is that when I use my IBM in my docking station, the resolution is automatically changed, however that's IBM's fault not Dell's. I totally reccomend this monitor over a 20". Completely worth every penny. Plus buy a new dimension and it only costs about 100$. Can't beat that.

ProsLove the monitor! Works great for my needs. Price-wise it was a steal compared to what I compared to in stores for other 22" widescreens. No complaints here.
ConsDoes not have adjustable height stand. Although for my purposes, I do not even need that. So, still no complaints.

Title: Great value monitor Date: May 17, 2007
ProsGreat value, DVI input, small frame, ultra-simple stand assembly. Monitor takes 110v cord, no brick adapter.
ConsStand only tilts

Review:This is my first widescreen monitor. I am torn as to whether dual monitor or widescreen is better. One highly recommended thing is to invest in a better monitor stand. With my Dell E521 and this monitor on my replacement stand, I can rotate the desktop and turn the monitor into a really tall portrait view. Excellent for arcade gaming or for desktop publishing. I think the small frame would make a multi-monitor setup easy (44" widescreen?!). I have to get a new video card to see how the DVI input improves the performance.

Pros. This monitor is amazing...where do I start? the image quality is wonderful if you set if to it's maximum of 1650x1080...I play my XBOX360 on it and honestly the monitor made me forget how much I payed for the cousole (over $500) I watch my HD movies on it and boy oh boy Crystal Clear! I love the option of VGA and VGI connections, the slim design fits in really well with everything else on my desk. In closing this is the best investment I've made so far this year and reminds me of why I love America and why I love technology advancements. I am a gadget and technology freak if it has buttons and a screen I'll buy it. 3 cheers for Dell....Hip-Pip Hooray, Hip-Pip Hooray, Hip-Pip Hooray
ConsUmmm...I would complain about the price but everytime it turn it on I forget about it! the only thing i wish is it was swivel but it's ok Great product overall.
