Title: a pleasure from the start
Date: September 6, 2007
ProsGreat picture quality. Easy to set up (needed a driver upgrade, but that worked fine). Nice and compact feeling on my (physical) desktop. ConsI miss the USB ports from a previous Dell monitor (2000FP). Height adjustment would be nice (rather than a stack of books underneath). Doc should more stress the need to upgrade video card driver for this resolution (1680x1050).
Review:My first widescreen monitor, and it's such a pleasure to have multiple apps side-by-side.

ProsIn most cases I can use this monitor without my glasses-since I spend a lot of time on both my computer and at work I find this extremely helpful- and I love the ability to have multiple windows open side by side - I can have a palette open - the original picture and the painting I am working on-

Title: Very good bang for your buck
Date: September 5, 2007
ProsThe monitor looks gorgeous and is detinitely big enough for anything I need to use it for. It looks great on movies as well for video games and any picture editing that I do. I don't have any real problems with the quality of the image. It's not an ultrasharp but at the same time it's also like half the price of an ultrasharp. When it comes to bang for your buck I don't think you can get anything better than this when it comes to size and price. ConsI wish Dell has installed USB ports onto the monitor to make it nicer for gaming so you can plug in your keyboard and mouse or something instead of plugging it into the computer. It's not that big of a deal but some of the older Dell monitors came with USB ports built into the monitor so I wonder why they didn't for their newer models.

Title: It's Great
Date: September 4, 2007
ProsIt is nice and wide and looks great as long as you are sitting right in front of it. ConsViewing angles are not what is said... Rapid lost of proper colors when moving your head around. Not as good as my UltraSharp 18". Not appropriate for graphic applications like photo retouching. No swivel base.

Title: Good Deal
Date: September 4, 2007
ProsNice looking, thin frame, no dead pixels, no apparent backlight bleed. No Ghosting in games (the ones I play at least!) nor in movies. The sound bar addon has decent sound (and plenty loud too!). The stand is sturdy. ConsThe stand is not height adjustable and is fairly low, I'm buying a VESA articulated arm to fix that. The addon sound bar is not color matched to the monitor (that's ugly, I wonder if I could actually paint it...)
Review:color gradiant (top/bottom) not too marked, visible, but not too noticeable (unless you're heavily into graphics). Someone (me!) could have wished for a "quick brightness adjust" like some other LCDs have, so you don't have to go through the menus to adjust it in changing light conditions. Overall, a well-priced, good bang-for-buck entry-level LCD.

Title: Good buy for the money
Date: September 4, 2007
ProsGreat, unbeatable price/quality ratio! I bought this monitor for only $269 on Dell.com to be connected to my DELL Inspiron laptop at work. I own a DELL WFP 24" at home, this one is the little brother and I like it. ConsThe contrast/brilliance adjustment is not as good as on my DELL 24", but then again I am not using this one for photography.
Review:I miss the USB and card readers on the side, like on the DELL FWP 24".

Title: Great monitor
Date: September 3, 2007
ProsScreen size is larger than i expected even though i've been looking at 22" screens in stores for a while now. You don't realize how big it is until you put it on your desk. It makes BF2 much more fun to play, I upgraded from an older 17" dell lcd. AUto detect settings for inputs and it's easy to toggle between the two. The image quality is also better than i expected. Consvery little white bleed through at the very top and bottom of screen, something i would have never noticed if i weren't looking for it and is hardly even worth mentioning. Other than that there really aren't any cons, it's a beautiful display. i'm glad i bought this monitor instead of other more expensive brands.
Review:When comparing this monitor to it's competitors it looks better than all but one, and the only one that looks better than it costs about $100 more than this one and only has a 1 year warranty, when compared to dells 3 year advanced exchange warranty it's not worth it, the only chance i might have picked that one over this one is if it had been the same price even then i doubt it. Dell said it would take 3-5 weeks to ship, well it got to my house in about 2 weeks, it took a few extra days cause DHL couldn't find my house.

Title: Perfect!
Date: August 29, 2007
ProsThis monitor fits all my needs. From the quality of the picture to the massive viewing area. My experience with monitors has taken me from a 17" CRT to a 19" LCD(which I passed on to my son) to the current 22". Wow! The clarity is superb and Dell's reputation keeps me coming back. At $269 this monitor was the clear choice when I started looking to upgrade from the 19". It's very easy on my eyes & allows 2-document viewing at the same time, which will help me with my college classes. ConsNo height adjustment, but the screen is so big I haven't really had to worry about it!
Review:Dell's warranty & excellent customer service keep me shopping for Dell products, when I'm in the market.

Title: Top quality and great value
Date: August 27, 2007
ProsThe beautiful display has to be seen in person: sharp, vivid, and the 5 ms response time makes it equal to any CRT. You may need to play around with RGB, brighteness, contrast and gamma values, but once you get them straight, the display is incredible. ConsWould have liked a swivel stand and height adjuster.
Review:OK, this isn't the cheapest 22" out there. Other brands are cheaper, sure but dollar for dollar, I'd get a Dell. In the highly unlikely event something goes wrong, Dell has a superb reputation for service.

Title: Get this monitor--you'll love it!
Date: August 8, 2007
ProsI can't say enough about what a great display this is (I use it with my Dell Dimension system, Vista 32-bit and 256mb video card with excellent results). I tested this display with my role-playing game last night, and was shocked at how vivid and lifelike the detail and color was. Using the Media Center to play a dvd on this display provided a very sharp picture, too. Dell provided a high-definition dvi-d cable with this monitor, in addition to the vga 15-pin one (for older systems)--some manufacturers don't include the dvi cable (a $20 or more added value). ConsNone that I've noticed. There are vertical lines showing up during dvd playback--I'm not sure who/what to blame this on, but I don't think the monitor is to blame.
Review:I think most people would be highly pleased with the performance of this monitor. I originally used the 20" widescreen model and was highly pleased with the performance of that to the point that I ordered this 22" model as an upgrade (I've attached the 20" one to a Mac system with excellent results, too--for Mac users, either of these Dell WS display models would make an excellent add-on choice at a great price/value).

Title: Ideal for day-to-day work
Date: July 25, 2007
ProsPerfect size for day-to-day work (programming, office work) Clear, bright, nice color gamut, fast. Lightweight. VESA compatible - can be held by standard wallmount support. Thin black bezel border, not disturbing. All cables are provided! ConsViewing angles are not what is said... Rapid lost of proper colors when moving your head around. Not as good as my UltraSharp 19" (1905FP). Not appropriate for graphic applications like photo retouching. No height adjustment. No swivel base. Can only adjust the vertical angle.
Review:For my job (software engineer), this monitor is simply perfect! It provides a large workspace and is comfortable enough to be used all day long. As long as you don't need a very large viewing angle and you don't share it with other people (height and swivel concerns), it is a very good monitor.

Title: This monitor rocks!
Date: July 24, 2007
ProsThe image quality is great; much nicer than the new monitors that have a shiny mirror finish. I love being able to see two pages side by side. Having the attached speakers is great also. ConsThere are none that I can find!
