I have just recently taken delivery of a Dell XPS 8500, with i7 processor, 24gig ram, SSD drive, and GTX660 graphics.
The computer is for general use, namely home and some professional work.
Past experience of Dell for work has always been positive, and this machine is no exception, and I was pleasantly surprised.
Windows 8 took a little getting used to, but once the basics were understood, I soon warmed to it.
Overall, good value for money, and a strong work horse that is capable of handling all that I have done so far.
Pros:good styling
Cons:could have had a graphic card upgrade option

Out of the box and major disappointment. Cannot install on my 6 display stand. I've never seen any monitor without the universal mounting holes.

I love my Dell and this computer is a very useful tool in taking online classes. It is fast and fairly easy to sue. I like the wizards and tools that guide you through the updating process and maintenance process. Dell, you rock!!!!

Hard to See Controls on Bezel

No, I do not recommend this product.
Pro: The monitor was packaged very well.
Con: The controls on the right side of the monitor, for brightness, contrast, etc., are not lit, and are very difficult to see and use. I almost have to use a flashlight to find them. The controls on my previous Dell monitor were much easier to see and use.
I am disappointed that these controls are not visible. I feel that Dell should either illuminate these controls, or make them white against a black background.
As it is, the controls on the monitor are not very user friendly.

This is my first wide screen and LED. Took me awhile to set it up as I wanted it but I love it. Picture is great. I now want a larger one as my tv. This one is my monitor for our desk top computer. I can't get the games to come in full size on pogo but I'm told that is because of pogo. Thanks for a great product.

Perfect size for the user that needs to display spreadsheets, drawings, but does not need to do CAD, etc. This one was purchased for our QC department. Very nice appearance for office. Beautiful display. We took advantage of the 3 year 24 hour Exchange policy for less down time in case of repair.
We will purchase more of these.

Dell bundled this monitor with a tower system I purchased for home/office use. Very good quality at a very nice price. The monitor is a very nice match for the system it came with. I also have a pair of UltraSharp 24" monitors at work and a U3011 at home. This monitor stacks up very well against what I'm familiar with. It's especially nice with it's cool operating temperature due to LED technology.

No, I do not recommend this product.
The monitor that came with my Dell computer went on the blink. Ordered this Monitor. Good price, however, have to be honest, I don't like it near as much as I did the original Monitor that came with the computer.
Can't adjust my resolution in regard to pictures.
Nothing was mentioned about this when I ordered the monitor. I'm not that happy with this monitor.

I bought my first ST2220L when I had to help a relative repair her computer she didn't sent her monitor to me. I was planning on replacing my laptop at Christmas so I went ahead and bought a monitor that I thought would serve my needs. I bought the first monitor at Staples who had it on sale for a very good price and I was more than pleased with the sharp picture quality and gorgeous color. The only drawback was the inability to adjust the overall height of the monitor. It has not proven to be a problem, just something I was used to having will Dell monitors.
I recently bought my 2nd ST2220L to expand my desktop. I use my computer for video editing home movies and processing a lot of photos. Having the extra workspace to spread out has proven to be a real time saver. The wife uses the same computer for accounting and Loves being able to have multiple spreadsheets open and visible at the same time.
All and all the ST2220L is a sharp monitor that is easy on the eyes and has the ability to use VGA, HDMI or DVI for inputs.

When I first hooked it up,HDMI, there was about an inch of black pixels all around the screen. There is a fix though, in the AMD Vision Control Center, under Scaling Options, you have to adjust the Underscan/Overscan to 0% to get your full screen real estate back.
The ON/standby light was not needed.

Yes, I would recommend this product
I'm very happy with this monitor. It has 3 options for input which serves me well because I have an older PC with only a VGA output and a newer laptop with a HDMI output. Dell service is great, my first monitor arrived with a broken screen, by the carrier no doubt. Dell reacted very quickly and had me a new one in 3 days.
