Prosits a very easy systeme to set up, if at first you have problems try reinstalling your systeme it worked for me.

Consthere is how ever no wall mont supplied with the left and right front speakers , i would like to hang them to save space on my desk top with out having to build shelves but i guess i will have to.

ProsAlmost nothing. This product did not work fine from the day one. First it is not compatible with Vista. Not working proparly. Even if pc is off we can hear noices comming from speakers. I am about to return this product to Dell.

ProsI love the sound system and I'm enjoying my Christmas CD's.

Pros* The sound quality is good enough to satisfy 98% of the users out there.

* It is very nice being able to eliminate those wires running from the subwoofer to the rear speakers.

* Wireless rear speaker connects to the system effortlessly and with no audible delay.

* Even though the rear piece is a single unit, it has two speakers in it, which (even close-up) are capable of producing distinct left-rear and right-rear sound.

* On-off switch and volume control are easily accessible on the center speaker.

* Center speaker attached easily to the bottom of my Dell monitor (not sure if it attaches to other flatscreens).
Cons* Subwoofer doesn't have quite enough "thump"

* Center speaker seems to dominate the front-L and front-R speakers (volume-wise).

* Not for the hardcore audiophile or for people who plan on creating audio.

* Turning off the sub-woofer is more of a challenge than turning off the center speaker, considering that it is meant to be placed under your desk.

ReviewI consider these good mid-range speakers. They certainly sound better than a lot of the 2.0, 2.1, and even 5.1 surround systems I've heard. However, let's be honest: they're not high-end speakers. That said, they'll still satisfy most users.

Basically, if you're looking for a surround-sound setup for your PC and you're a stickler for the highest audio quality, you probably know better than to buy a $100 5.1 system anyway. If, however, this package looks like a killer deal to you: it is. You won't find a better set of speakers for the money.

The rear speakers are not *true* wireless, as they still have a power cord to manage. Most people probably know this, but I think that calling it "wireless" is a little misleading. Still, with all the cables the average PC has dangling behind it, the elimination of those two wires alone is pretty significant in my eyes.

Finally: it would be nice if Dell made an upgraded version of this system, with a beefier subwoofer and silkier sound all-around, for a slightly higher price. I'd gladly pay an extra $50 for a little more *oompf!* Still, this is a great deal and I don't regret buying it.

ReviewThe sound quality from these speakers is very poor. The sound is tinny and can't be adjusted away with an equalizer. I am using these with a SoundBlaster card instead of the integrated solution. The issue is the speakers and not the card because the sound quality is much better when I switch either set of speakers from my old PCs.
I feel that the price (bundled with a new PC) was very good, but I would not buy these again at any price because of the sound quality.
When I play music that has section of very low volume (classical music), the rear speakers turn off during the quiet sections and then turn back on with a distinct pop. I am hoping that there is a technical solution (like a longer delay before they turn off) but I haven't found it yet.

ReviewI purchased these speakers for $100 along with my new Dell system. For the past few years, I've owned (and currently use) a Klipsch Promedia 2.1 system (which Dell has recently begun to offer on its site for $159 or so). When I compare this 5.1 Dell system to the Klipsch one, the Dell system is almost like a child's toy. I wanted to try the Wireless 5.1 the Dell offered, so I purchased it for the new computer. The surround sound works nicely, but other than that, the Dell system is nowhere near any competition for the Klipsch system. Sound on the Dell is unbalanced (across the frequency range), and sonic distribution across the room MUST be adjusted first for proper listening, using the software on your computer. The subwoofer is so weak, even with it's own control turned to Max, that it is almost a joke. The system lacks that deep punch that is a necessity for surround systems when watching movies like Star Trek or Star Wars or other action films in 5.1. Overall, the Dell system is just acceptable, and I would definitely buy another pair of the Klipsch speakers anytime before buying the Dell ones again...I'm much happier with only 2.1 channels of fantastic sound than 5.1 channels of mediocre quality. (Oh, and, that is, if you can get the wireless rear speaker to connect to the rest of the Dell system!)

ProsBuilt well and look good. Easy to connect. Versatile mounting options for center and rear speakers. Sound great when properly positioned. May require more than one attempt to position properly, but worth the effort. Wireless works.

ProsPerfect, I mean PERFECT sound quality...great bass...just what i've been looking for. Surround sound is great too and all i do now is stick to my computer thanks to DELL. Inexpensive, nice design, and i like the fact that the rear speaker is wireless. Thanks DELL.
