Review:I bought my 3rd Dell printer a few months ago and the V505 Red is great! It's installation is simple, the pages print quickly and clearly and it is pretty quiet compared to past printers. Even though it is a tad larger, it was well worth it. And the ink isn't too expensive! Bonus!!

Review:Got printer delivered within 5 days, printed something off the internet but it would not print from my computer. Called support 2 hours later got it to print from computer but no scanner function. They sent us a second printer. Installed it, printed from internet and computer but no scanner function. 2 more hours with support still not working. 4 more hours on with support and it all works. I had to suggest to the guy in India that the driver may be incompatible. Installed new driver and all functions work fine.

Review:Received and installed the printer yesterday. Worked great for printing and copying. When I started my computer this morning it would not complete booting-up. Deleted the printer software and solved the problem. The computer booted-up just fine. Reinstalled the printer software, same problem. Spent about 3 hours talking to a support person. He decided it was a software problem and tried to transfer me to the software section and disconnected me. Will try again tomorrow.

Review:99% of the reviews for this were very good. I got the printer on Wed 9-2-09. Followed the step by step very easy instructions. Could not get it to scan. Printed, faxed and copied on first try. Then it quit printing in the middle of a print job. No error message, no reason just froze. Dell technical support had me doing everything I told them I had already tried. They connected to my computer, uninstalled and reinstalled the software. Nothing worked. So they sent me another one to replaced the first one. Same thing happened again. Found a review on Amazon.com that said this printer is not compatible with some versions of Windows XP. Wish I had seen that review before buying. Now I have two printers that need to be returned. Dell needs to get it straightened out FAST!

Review:Has more features, better performance than the AIO I replaced, for half the price. Quick & easy installation. This appears to be an "intelligent", almost "intuitive" printer ... I'm very pleased with my purchase. I've had a DELL Desktop for some years now -- it's flawless - 'haven't had problem one with it! DELL is the "bomb"!

Review:The printer print okay but it doesn't work properly with my computer. I have reinstalled it 2 times and I still get an error every time I turn it on. It says Printer card transfer monitor has encountered a problem and needs to close. Process id=0x7c0C1984 thread id=0x7f0(2032).
When I try to print from software to make cards it won't let me. It says Spooler Sub/system App..
I am totally frustrated and wonder whether I should hook up my old printer and send this back.

Review:The V505 does all it advertises. I have had a problem setting it up as a wireless printer (I already had a Linksys print router) but that problem probably lies at my end. Does seem to go through ink fast, and replacement cartridges can cost as much as the printer.

Review:I haven't owned the printer for long and haven't used it much either, but the very first task I had for it was for it to scan a photo and save it to my laptop Photoshop program. Everything was very easy to set up and I followed the instructions, and then the printer wouldn't give me a list of programs available on my computer that would save the file. So I tried again, and still no list. So I tried again - same result. I turned everything off and booted again and tried again - nothing. I turned everything off and changed the settings on my printer so that the language would be compatible with my operating system language, and still nothing. I shut everything down and the next day before calling Dell's service number I tried it one last time - and it worked. So if at first you don't succeed...

Review:This printer meets all of my needs. It was simple to setup and install. The qualitity of prints is great. It does take a few seconds to function after turning it on, but thats expected. The ink cartriges are small, therefore ink goes quick, but thats all printers. I've had no problems with printing, scanning or pictures, but i have not used the fax yet and can not comment on that. Overall, this is a great product for home use,(beginners or experts alike)!!

Review:I wanted a new color printer to go with my Dell Vista computer and this printer seems to be just what I was looking for. I am still playing with it and learning how to used all of its features but so far I like everything especially the photo printer. It seems to use ink more conservatively than the printers that have one cartridge for each color. My only complaint is that it prints too slow for me but I guess I will have to get used to that.

Review:This was my first time setting up and "installing" a printer. There were no problems whatsoever. It was easy. Communication between printer and computer is a breeze. It was like they were meant for each other; of course, using a current and reliable OS helped. Ink cartridge insertion and removal are also easy. Printed images from the computer are excellent, as are printed copies of original documents. Haven't used the scan feature or the fax yet, but am positive there will be no problems based on my experience so far. Love this printer!
