Review:After 32 years of printing experience; HP to Epson and every MFG in between, I have finally found the optimal Color Laser ever owned. Under $300 dollars it is a steal- 10 rating on ease of use - competitive toner replacement costs - quick high quality print speeds with 90% paper color coverage on letter/legal. Anything else would be a compromise and waste of money. Just try it, you'll be sold. Thanks Dell!

Review:I've had this printer for a little over 9 months now and don't have a single complaint. The print quality is terrific - really, what is there to say when you don't have a single complaint? (well, I was shocked when I saw the price today, compared to what I paid - what a steal!)

Review:I bought this printer for my sister for christmas because she does alot of art projects(250 pages per month)and I was tired of hearing her tell me that the ink cartridges for her old printer were $40+ each (2 required). So I did my research and came to the conclusion that the cheaper color laser printers' toner is just about as much as the printer itself, so that put me in the realm of small/medium business color printers due to the fact that the toner is much cheaper. I was really interested in the Xerox Phaser 6125 that Costco carries but I could not justify spending $300+ on a printer for my sister; After about 2 days of looking at printers and comparing them I came upon the Dell 2130cn and the toner cartridges looked awfully familiar to those of the Xerox 6125... Come to find out that the 2130cn basically has the same guts as the Xerox 6125 just a different outside case, not only that it was $200 cheaper than the Xerox, so I chose the Dell 2130cn. When it comes to setup and configuration it was a breeze, I set a static IP on the printer and ran the Network printer wizard in Windows 7, I had the whole thing setup (un-boxed to printing)in about 15 mins. Print quality looks great and it prints fast. The only gripe I have is that you have to restart the printer for it to register a static IP change, it also seems to draw alot of power on start-up(lights dim, maxed out APC 2200 UPS). All in all I think it was a great purchase and a cost effective solution for my sister.

Review:I bought my 2130cn on sale a few weeks back, to upgrade from the 1230c model. I've really come to trust printers offered by Dell. They do the job. Period. All four of the models I've owned have done great jobs for me. I decided to buy this printer because I'd like it to last me for quite some time, as I don't use my printer all that often and would prefer to use this one long enough that a brand new printer would be a justifiable expense once the ink has run out in this one.

And, I'm certain that I got what I wanted. Along with that I've got an easy to use and dependably operational machine.

It was a little early, I suppose, to do a review but I've used Dell printers for quite some time and have never needed to report any faults in the work of any of them. Not only that, but this machine can be a heavy duty product to a certain extent. If I need to print 100 pages of color material then this printer will do just that and flawlessly.

I've ranked it with 4 stars here since this is a early review. I'm quite sure, though, that when I finish with it in a few years that it will have earned a 5 star rating from me.

Review:This printer is extremely good for almost EVERYTHING - however, don't expect to be able to print envelopes from the tray. It is very frustrating at best. Continuously jams. I have had ZERO problems with this printer in over 4 months use, but only recently tried to print envelopes from the tray. Do NOT purchase this product if you plan to print more than one envelope (from the single sheet feeder). This is the only huge disappointment. Other than this, I'd buy this printer again. (I only wish Dell sold a printer with two trays - one with an envelope feeder.)

Review:Shopped around for a while looking at different brands an multi function printer/fax/scanners. The 2130cn performs well and under moderate to heavy demand and usage. It set up very quickly on my network and has not missed a beat. cost of equipment and toner, are very good in comparison to others brands.

Cons is big and does weighs alot, but this is a printer you should buy and leave, not a inkjet that you move around.

ProsNice print quality & performance for the money.
ConsAnnoying Network Setup. Doesn't let you set IP address from front panel. I'm one of those people who refuses to install an "Application" for a printer. All I want is a driver, thanks. But to set it up that way, it needs a fixed IP address. It DHCP'd on my network, but then I had to check my router to find what address it was using and point a browser there to be able to change the network settings. It then demanded a username (admin) and password (leave blank) which is not easy to find in the documentation.
