Review:It is big!
Appears to be reasonable with toner, which is good.
Color and detail is fantastic, which is great.
Getting the fax setup SHOULD be a bit easier than it has been. It is doable, but not intuitive and does lack clear scenario-based instructions.
Still, consider it a highly recommended purchase.

Review:Bought it for a user who needs replacement for a HP inkjet all-in-one. He likes the quality and speed, but had some problem printing out a 23-page PDF. There's some memory error message. The file prints fine on the old HP machine. Guess the optional 256 MB memory isn't so optional...

Review:This model has memory problems. Do the research in dell's tech support. They will tell you the only way to solve the printing problem is to buy more memory. If thats the case don't sell a product that does not work properly with out having to by extra parts.

Review:Have used this printer for over a year now. I absolutely love it! Great quality in printing, speed, efficiency, etc. I did end up getting the expanded memory card because of memory errors for large print job. I have this printer connected to main computer with network printing enabled for laptops. Works wonderfully. Easy to use. Love it.

Review:We bought two of these for a couple of home offices. The quality of the output is fine and possibly a little better than what you'd expect from a printer in this price range. If you are going to directly attach this printer via USB, then I might give it another star. However getting it to work consistently over the network is difficult at best. None of the paperport software will work over the network as the scanning function is not "bi-directional". The only way to scan is to push the button on the screen and send it to a folder on your PC. This all needs to be set up using a web interface that reads like it was translated to english from another language.
Basically I think this is a nice printer for home use attached to a single PC that they slapped a network card into a tried to market it to small business. Not a good idea.

Title: the good and the bad

Review:this is my 4th printer this year for my small business. i needed an all in one, and am somewhat satisfied with the printer. it has a very good warm up time, which is efficient, and the print quality is decent. The speed is also adequate. two major faults in this printer - the secondary tray doesn't have a holder, so in case you want to print multiple pages through the 2nd tray, you can't. also, every time I have tried to print pictures or multiple pdf pages, I receive a memory full error.
i also have a brother CDN4040 printer, which has a slow warm up time but the quality is superb and the speed is better. I have had that printer for 4 months and not a single issue.

ProsGood price, great quality and prints pretty fast.
ConsIt's pretty big so you need a sturdy table for it to sit on. I can't seem to get the auto feed for the scanner to work unless I use the paperport software - then it works great.
Review:I really like the paperport software to send documents to various applications.

Review:A good printer that seems well built. Print quality is very good. The basic setup went very easy. Customizing for the scanning across the network took a lot of trial and error before getting it right - the online documentation isn't that straight forward. However, once complete, it's really easy to use.
Even though it is large and heavy, it's better than a lot of the cheaper all-in-ones that seem like they'll fall apart. I don't mind the size, although I could see why some might. It's actually not a bad looking piece of equipment - fairly sleek and the fact it's black makes it not seem so large.

ConsHuge, this is a large and heavy printer. No drivers for Mac computers. If you have a Mac don't buy this printer.
Review:I really like the printer. It does everything it advertises. The print quality and speed are great. I am a little disappointed that Dell does not have Mac OS drivers. I have a MACBOOK and cannot print from it.
