ProsUnfortunately, I found out customer support is very good.....
ConsBought new - had alignment problem. Dell replaced with another new. Would not pull in paper from tray. Dell replaced with reman. Within a month, the power brick on back was bad. Dell upgraded it with a 946. Time will tell on the 946.

ProsI thought that the process of instulation was a snap, understanding and getting it to do what is supposed to do was just as easy.
Consdoesn't last long, if you are going to be doing alot of printing and also doing labels, this is not the printer for you. I have had mine for less then a year and it is already broken.

ProsPRINT QUALITY ISN'T BAD FOR THE PRICE OF THE PRINTER.
Cons1. SOFTWARE THAT COMES WITH PRINTER STINKS. IT TAKES A LONG, LONG TIME TO LOAD-I'VE GOT A PRETTY GOOD COMPUTER SO ITS NOT THAT. SOMETIMES IT DOESN'T EVEN FINISH LOADING, IT JUST DOESN'T START AT ALL?!? 2. MY FIRST ONE BROKE WITHIN 2 WEEKS. IT KEPT SAYING MY INK CARTRIDGE WASN'T COMPATIBLE? IT WAS THE DELL INK CARTRIDGE THAT CAME WITH THE PRINTER HOW COULD IT NOT BE COMPATIBLE?!?!, SO I TOOK THE SPARE ONE OUT OF THE PACKAGE AND REPLACED THE SO CALLED"INCOMPATIBLE ONE" AND IT GAVE ME THE EXACT SAME MESSAGE! 3.WASTES WAY TOO MUCH INK! PAGES COME OUT VERY DAMP! 4.TAKES ABOUT 5 MINUTES TO GET A PRINT DONE FROM WHEN I CLICK PRINT. I'M TALKING BLACK AND WHITE IMAGES. 5.SCAN FUNCTION HASN'T WORKED AT ALL ON THE 2ND ONE THEY SENT ME! THATS RIGHT IT WON'T SCAN AT ALL!
Review:I'M NOT SURE HOW THIS PRINTER WORKS WITH WINDOWS XP BUT IT DOESN'T WITH VISTA. I'VE DOWNLOADED ALL NECESSARY DRIVERS AND IT'S STILL A WHITE BOX OF JUNK! STAY AWAYIF YOUR USING VISTA! I'M SENDING THIS BACK FOR A REFUND!

ProsQuiet during large printing ques, easy to change cartridges, scans are auto-cropped.
ConsLarge footprint for a small office. Sucks ink like there's no end. Grainy quality to copies. Automatic mode is supposed to be best mode, but find it lacking. Would like to see more options for scan processes.

ProsThe biggest thing I was concerned about and hoped for was a printer that could provide me with some good quality pictures to save me money at photo stores. The first picture I printed out was excellent on the glossy paper and alomost like i picked it up at a store, especially when you have good photo paper to print on. Simple set up with simple use and not a lot of buttons on printer to confuse you as some do. I was pleased with size of printer as well , not really being able to judge from picture. It is very compact and not bulky compared to others for what it can all do.
ConsNo problems or dislikes.

ProsThis printer is easy to set up and use.
ConsUnfortunately the ink only can be purchased from Dell. Print quality is very poor. The function as photo printer is NOT there. I purchased at price $130 together with my XPS, but it is NOT worth that price at all.
Review:Dell should check 3 in 1 printer from other products (which are cheaper) and so great in printing pictures and very easy to buy ink anywhere.
