ProsFast and easy setup
No loud fans
Plays World of Warcraft and expansion.
Wifi works great!
ConsThe keyboard can take getting used to.
The touch pad is really sensative.

Review:If you plan to play any game on this (which its not meant for) you gotta turn down the graphics in game all the way to the lowest possible settings. Other than that great for just messing around.

ProsThis laptop is an excellent value. It would be a terrific starter computer for a young person. I am in my 40s and do a lot of travel for work so I opted for this model and haven't been disappointed. It is SUPER light weight has excellent connectivity and manages my work needs well.
ConsThe only thing I am not crazy about is the lack of a cd-rom. However, I was made aware of that in no uncertain terms before purchase so I have made allowances.

Review:I would and have recommended this laptop to many people. I am an IT professional and for travel and most of my everyday work it fits the bill. The fact that it is less than 3 pounds and the size allow me to put it in my backpack and go. THANKS DELL I LOVE IT!

Review:I purchased the external CD/DVD which works fine for downloading software. I also purchased and loaded MS Office myself and it does not slow the mini down at all. The screen is not really conducive to big excel files but is workable. The case choices are limited but if you are female, this fits nicely in a Vera Bradley small backpack with room for cords, mouse, etc. There are some neoprene sleeves around too that work fine.

ProsLight weight, small enough to fit anywhere, wireless, looks great, feels sturdy, just the perfect machine to travel with. I am extremely happy with it.
ConsScreen size a little small; I wish they would have gone with 10", that would have been perfect.
And I wish the SSD was a little larger...like a 32GB or even better a 64GB.
Other than that...its a great machine.

Review:Along with the Mini 9, do yourself a favor and order the Corsair or Crucial 2GB RAM (works perfectly with XP). It speeds up the Mini quite well and allows some multi-tasking. In addition, order yourself a SD card, preferably something in the 16GB size for additional storage. I should have bought all of this at the same time, but ended up buying it afterwards. I also really like the Bluetooth 5 button travel mouse for the Mini; its an excellent match. And finally, you'll also need an external drive (DVD/CD).

Title: Fun, cute and easy to take on a trip Date: October 20, 2008
ProsIt fits right in your travel bag. It,s made well and comes with XP.
ConsComes loaded with McCaffee anti-virus which hogs up the memory. I immediately removed it and added my usual anti-virus. Pretty fast after that.

Review:I own several Dell laptops and wanted one really small to travel with. It's great for the internet and pictures. 3 usb ports are great for a small laptop. I currently own the Vostro 1000, 1500, 1310 & Mini 9.
