Very disappointing netbook. Our high school in Eugene, Oregon purchased 48 of these for use in science & foreign language. We've had problems with slow startup time, constant need to restart to get back online, freeze-ups. The students hate them. We spend more time trying to fix the darn things. Stay away from purchasing any of this line of computers.

Very Dissapointed

No, I do not recommend this product.
My school bought 2 carts of these laptops. I was curious as now we didnt't have to go to the computer lab everytime we needed to type something. The computers were even touch screen! Then i got to use one and was very dissapointed. The touch screen is very inaccurate. The computer could barely handle the dell website. Not to mention the pathetic processor. It is terrible. What is it like the Intel Atom or something? Ive never heard of that. And its terrible. I am being repetitive for a reason here. I find that the keyboard is too small and crampt too. But i know that you cannot help that with a laptop of this size.
Pros:research, typing

Hello Ghamilton, Sorry to hear that your experience with the Latitude 2120 was not a positive one. Customer ratings and reviews help us to gauge what features our customers really enjoy and use and which ones could use improvement. After all, the best feedback will always come from the people who are using the product day in and day out.
Regarding the speed of the system, the Atom processor in the Latitude 2120 is capable of handling basic tasks such as what you are using it for. Since you are not experiencing good results, I would advise that you reach out to our Social Media Outreach Team for tech support so that they can look into this matter on your behalf. We work directly with them and we recommend their services because of their success in resolving customer issues.
I tried using tablets for field work. First, they are too fragile. Second, their keyboards are horrible compared to real keyboards. Lastly, just how much can a person tolerate finger smudges on a display screen? The 2120 (equipped with a 3G card) is perfect for our field needs. It's tough and reliable and has a good 'feel' to it. Go to Youtube and search for Dell Latitude 2120 Review to see more details on this wonderful netbook.
Pros:videography production, internet via hotspots and 3g card, in the mountains woods and jungle

The touch screens are poor on these machines. The LCD cables disconnect too easliy. Dell came out are reseated/fixed the cables and a week later, they started to go bad again.
