Looking forward to the next release with more features supported
PostedFebruary 24, 2013
Yes, I would recommend this product
I downloaded the Dell Mobil Print App to my Nexus 7 tablet, and it found my v525w printer right away, no troubles on installation. Unfortunately, the only feature it supported was which pages to print, so of limited usefulness. Many everyday printer features are not supported in the app, so I'm looking forward to them in the next release. Please support landscape vs portrait, scaling by percentage and shrink to fit, duplex printing is huge, and so is avoid printing background images and color. Most of my needs are printing web pages and documents, and I use those features all the time on my Dell PC's. The only way I found to print from Chrome was to tap the ... menu and then tap Share... If there's a better way to use the app (like a print button inside of Chrome or a document reader) that would give me more features, please post some instructions. Using the Internet icon from within the app is too awkward when my browser is already on the web page that I want to print. I'd like to inquire ink levels from my tablet in case I need to change a cartridge before printing. Thanks, and keep it going.
Pros:installation worked fine for v525w and nexus 7
Cons:missing some very useful printer features

Android App will not link to 1710n via IP address: "Printer not supported"

No, I do not recommend this product.
Very disappointing app, waste of time. This printer is on the Dell list of supported printers, and works well from XP and Mac desktops.

Will not work from IOS
PostedFebruary 19, 2013
No, I do not recommend this product.
Dell would have been better off enabling a virtual AirPrint service on this printers BIOS, the Mobile Print App will not work. I needed to print from an iPad but this app is failing to locate the printer, failing to retrieve a simple webpage for printing, and failing to retain the settings.
Pros:the app will download and install
Cons:will not deliver what is promised extremely poor.

C1765nfw
PostedJanuary 14, 2013
No, I do not recommend this product.
This app just doesn't seem to work with my new C1765nfw even though it says it is supported. It won't detect it and it won't allow it to be added via ip address.
I know my Nexus 7 can see the printer since I can open the printer's web config page in the browser.
Part of the reason I bought this printer was because it had an app for android.
I simply do not understand how you can state the Dell Mobile Print for Android application works for the Dell C1765nfw Printer and it does not. Who offers support for this mobile application? I've e-mailed the developer that is listed on the application and received no response. This is a KEY feature in purchasing the printer and for it simply not to work and Dell not to provide technical support is unacceptable.
I downloaded the app to a Samsung Galaxy SIII. After many tries it "Failed to find printer." Although the 1355 CNW is supported - it could not find it through an auto search nor through a manual search. Dell Support could not help with this issue. My conclusion is that it does not work with all Android devices, the Samsung Galaxy SIII in particulr.

Not working with Transformer TF700T and Dell 1710n
PostedNovember 10, 2012
No, I do not recommend this product.
Cons: Printer was in the Supported Printers list but was not found (search mechanism just looped for a long time). When I manually added it using its IP address, 192.168.1.16, Mobile Print said it was not a compatible printer. I tried, using my PC, updating printer firmware BR.Q.P203.NA with file BRQP205.ffb but get message Send Failed; Lost communication

I wish this app was available for the Xoom tablet
PostedOctober 29, 2012
Yes, I would recommend this product
This app works very well with the HTC EVO 4G and the HTC EVO Shift. But the app is not available for the Xoom Tablet. I wish all android apps were available for all android electronic systems! Ugh!!!
The Android print app did print, but even with a PDF the printout was all messed up, colors inverted, printed black over white and colored areas - what a mess. Totally useless app. Please support CloudPrint and AirPrint properly in your printer firmware. Printing from Motorola Droid Razr Max with 4.0 ICS to a Dell C3760dn color laser. (well, not printing, actually)
The App looks great, a simple solution to cover printing requirements from a multitude of devices. However, my brand new P513w printer (now one month old) is not supported. It is networked and ready to go. So this is a plea as many of your customers to include our printers on the App. I promise to score fairly when I can use it.

No, I do not recommend this product.
Found the app and downloaded to my phone. Located my printer only to find out my v505 was not supported. Very disappointing. Just hoping Dell can release an update to add more wifi printers to the app.

Android app to print on Dell wireless printers
PostedMay 21, 2012
Yes, I would recommend this product
Although I read that another user successfully printed on a Dell V515W All-in-One printer from an Android smartphone, I was unable to accomplish this. Dell's and Google's web pages do not list this as a supported device. A great printer and a promising app but a disappointing failure. Similar disappointment with my iPad and comparable app.
